Ten Esoteric Cycles/Stages – Part V (Seven Crises of the Soul & Cycles of Evolution, Aspiration, and Initiation)

(HZ: Please note that this ten-part series is just a review of Alice A Bailey’s Esoteric Works in respect to this ten cycles and stages review with a few additions plus some experiential heuristic observations and as a rule does not contain reified source impressions received during meditation.)

Seven Crises of the Soul – Cycle of Evolution, Cycle of Aspiration, Cycle of Initiation

Within the context of the overarching cycle of evolution, the cycling through the seasonal stages of recreation, regeneration, reorientation, and renunciation representing the influences of each of the twelve constellations and overall zodiac.  Life after life and year after year, it eventually produce a definitive final cycle of aspiration once the reorientation period within the evolutionary cycle is reached by the aspirant and the reversal of the direction on the wheel is constantly the aspirant’s motivational focus (or is being recapitulated from earlier development). At that point forward the soul’s impulse during the recreation and regeneration stages will become focused on the movement out of form identification related to the three-worlds as opposed to heading into it. Once the evolutionary stage of reorientation is stabilized after the second initiation than the evolutionary point will move into the final stages of the path under a final cycle of initiation associated with the ongoing mastery and fruits of the seven crises of the soul discussed in this section

I would like to reiterate that all of the basic theory underlying this study of esoteric cycles is derived from the collected works of Alice A. Bailey. The author has just rearranged it somewhat to assist in capturing his experiential events for comparative analysis.

The Seven Crises of the Soul

The seven-originating crises of the soul are quoted from A.A.B.’s Esoteric Astrology as follows:

THE CRISES OF THE SOUL

The seven crises of the soul listed above is broken out by A.A.B. into the summation and synthesizing triangle of three constellation influences – Capricorn-Virgo-Leo (in bold and asterisked) conditioning the complete cycle of evolution’s major soul crises from individualization to Adeptship.

The Cycle of Evolution, is composed of the first three crises of the soul (personality sheath-form and activity identification by the soul) and is given above as being basically conditioned by Cancer-Aries-Capricorn. Influences.

The Cycle of Aspiration (soul consciousness-form and activity identification by the soul), composing the second three crises of the soul influences and is given above as being conditioned by Gemini-Scorpio-Virgo.

Cycle of Initiation (spirit life-form and activity identification by the soul) is given above as being conditioned by Capricorn-Virgo-Leo where Capricorn is the summation influence in the cycle of evolution. Virgo the summation constellation in the cycle of aspiration and Leo is the summation constellation of the seven crises. These triangles operate under the rules as given per the Science of Triangles introduced earlier. The success of these influences will be progressively experienced as an expansion of sensitivity and quality awareness of both form and consciousness.

The ongoing integrations of the monad, soul, and personality vehicles (through the resolution processes of polarized oppositions) are being conditioned by the three separate constellation triangulations of the above given combined influences of these three sets of summation influences. The latter two cycles (aspiration and initiation), once demonstrating, indicates aspirants are adhering to certain Rules for Applicants for Initiation and/or some set the Rules for Group Initiation at some some stage of discipleship.

The rules for initiation are not necessarily sequentially demonstrated. The order of the demonstration of these rules for initiation needs to be determined by each and you will realize it is no easy task to ascertain with conviction as the Whole is continuously being integrated into the expanding part and the order of response appears to alter with each stage of initiation. Interestingly, there is still seen to be a sequential order of association with the twelve zodiacal constellations as conditioning influences. All the above stages and cycles are eventual mastered once the seven crises of the soul are ultimately resolved through synthesis of the three-fold periodic vehicles or part with the three-fold aspects of the whole. These relationships will be introduced and unfolded in this introduction to esoteric cycles as they are sequentially summarized.

It was earlier shown that the cycle of maturation and integration also significantly forward the evolution of the three periodic vehicles’ major aspects, where each is exhibiting an aspect of Life, Quality, and Appearance that we earlier examined to understand the organizing causative and esoteric influences conditioning the three major periodic vehicles. Together they lead the unit first to the unfoldment of the periodic vehicles’ sheaths and later unification of the lower aspect set of sheaths with the higher aspect set of sheaths one major aspect at a time. These two esoteric cycles are the basis for the success of the cycles of evolution, aspiration, and initiation objectives under the direction of the Plan, life to life. They practically assist us in unfolding or evolving each of our three-fold periodic vehicle’ consciousness and form potentials and linked spiritual service opportunity events. They take place in a sequential logical order life to life; and recapitulate earlier achievements and forward the cycle of evolution (astrologically considered that is).

The cycle of maturation (ruled by Saturn or time) unfolds and demonstrates the Appearance aspect in all three periodic vehicles over time. The cycle of integration (ruled by Jupiter or substance) unfolds the Quality aspect in each of the three periodic vehicles over time working likewise under the cycle of integration. The cycle of integration as used in this context was shown to include the three techniques as introduced by A.A.B. – the techniques of integration, fusion, and duality. The cycle of aspiration transitions one onto a cycle of initiation which unfolds the Life aspect periodic vehicle once the Life, Quality, and Appearance aspects are adequate in the lower two periodic vehicles.

The six triangles of influences inherent within the cycles of evolution, aspiration and initiation discussed below are reflective of the activity processes of Beingness descending into and out of form expression upon the cosmic physical plane effecting the fourth Creative Hierarchy of Lives driving them likewise through these six stages of relationship to this Beingness.

The following six stages or six set of zodiacal triplicates are strictly theoretical. The intent is to capture the present conditioning forces progressing a Cycle of Evolution. The rules for initiation are only given for reflection purposes but keep in mind that these seven crises also represent the seven initiations progressively from either direction.

I.                 Cancer, Aries, and Capricorn – Alignment with Larger Group Stage (Rule No. 1 & 8)

For Applicants:  Let the disciple search within the heart’s deep cave.  If there the fire burns bright, warming his brother yet heating not himself, the hour has come for making application to stand before the door.

For Disciples and Initiates:  Within the fire of mind, focussed within the head’s clear light, let the group stand.  The burning ground has done its work.  The clear cold light shines forth and cold it is and yet the heat—evoked by the group love—permits the warmth of energetic moving out.  Behind the group there stands the Door.  Before them opens out the Way.  Together let the band of brothers onward move—out of the fire, into the cold, and toward a newer tension. R&I, p.19

When the disciple nears the portal, the Greater Seven must awaken and bring forth response from the lesser seven upon the double circle.

For Disciples and Initiates:  Let the group find within itself response to the greater seven groups which carry out the hierarchical will with love and understanding.  The group contains all seven, the perfect group.  The lesser seven, [Page 22] the greater seven and the planetary seven form one great whole, and these the group must know.  When this is realised and the Law of the Supplementary Seven is understood let the group understand the Three and then the ONE.  This they can do with the united breath and the unified rhythm. IH&S, pp.21-22

The focus in this section is the association of the four season stages to the cycle of evolution, the seven crises of the soul, the twelve constellations, the planetary initiations, and the four basic forms we are responsible to unfold and evolve (devotion, persona, environment, and life path/causal body). A Cycle of Evolution recapitulates itself with each spirit incarnation as a sub-cycle and was shown earlier to be conditioned by triangle Cancer-Aries-Capricorn. The four major seasonal impulses of the soul demonstrate over the complete cycle of the evolutionary process or in effect is the cycling of the Life Wave transmitted by the Central Spiritual Sun Sun was shown to produce the four seasonal stages of recreation, regeneration, reorientation, renunciation. These soul impulses effect an eventual response to the associated twelve zodiacal constellation influences producing evolution of substance (spirit/consciousness/matter). Please keep in mind that these constellations and cycles are primarily affecting the Grand Heavenly Man and the Heavenly Man and only indirectly affecting the cells in His body or the Human Units. Thus, the seven crises reflect the Heavenly Man’s integration stages in respect to these seven initiation stages and sub-stages as evoked and experienced by the human units. These crises lead to the first three crises of the soul, as given, lead to the first three initiations for the Heavenly Man conditioned by the triangle of constellations of Cancer, Aries, and Capricorn influences and providing for Humanity likewise the same opportunity. Cancer influences the Heavenly Man’s incarnation quality of individualization at the first initiation, Aries conditioned His reversal quality or orientation at the second initiation, and Capricorn conditioned His initiation quality of expansion at the third initiation. Thus, the unfoldment of the third aspect was complete in its three aspects so now evolution could go forward in unfolding the second or soul aspect which is the goal of this second major solar system.

These three influences are reflected in the human units’ response to the Leo, Virgo, and Scorpio influenced crises on the path which condition the first three initiations also. Therefore, one can surmise that that the seven crises of the soul listing as given depicts the series of seven initiations in either direction. There is obviously a relationship between Leo and Cancer; Virgo and Aries; and Capricorn and Scorpio in the conditioning of planetary substance in the creative process and/or the initiation process. Leo influences can be shown to reflect the intent of the influences coming through Cancer; Virgo influences can be shown to reflect the intent of the influences coming through Aries; and Scorpio influences can be shown to reflect the intent of the influences coming through Capricorn hierarchically and esoterically considered but not herein discussed. The overall goal is achieved in resolving the crisis of renunciation by producing the quality of crucifixion for the Heavenly Man or the Human Unit. Thus, a response to the influences of Gemini during this period on the Earth Globe is intended to produce this overall quality and thus free the Grand Heavenly Man, the Heavenly Man, Humanity and the Human Units from any identification with the cosmic physical plane or the lower three worlds or in general with deity’s form nature.

In respect to the overarching cycle and various levels of sub-cycles of evolution it has been shown that there are always a construction and a destruction phase, and this applies to any cycle, thus indicating an ongoing fusion between the third and second aspects. It was shown that the cycles of recreation and regeneration was related to the construction phase where this phase can be symbolized as a cycle of aspiration stage leading to the phases of reorientation and renunciation defined earlier in the life of the spirit-soul-personality as the overall destructive phase symbolized by a cycle of initiation whether over the complete period of evolution or within each incarnation or within a cycle of Jupiter.

The overall pattern of the Whole is always trying to reproduce itself within any part and the same applies to these various stages within a cycle.  Within each of the four seasonal stages all four seasons are always represented by default.  The four forms were earlier introduced as the only essential forms the human unit is responsible for recreating, regenerating, reorienting and renouncing themselves. Each of these four forms is a product or outcome of each of these evolutionary and seasonal stages. The forms we are responsible for were given as four types: devotion, persona, environment, and causal body or karmic path.  It is somewhat easy to see that each of these four forms are sequentially (and as a group) are related also to the first four planetary integrations or initiations.  Thus, there is a correlation between the four forms, the first four initiations in this fourth round for the fourth Creative Hierarchy in this fourth solar system of the fourth order. The four forms construction characteristics is intended to meet some level of plan related objectives that these four initiations endow. Each of the forms, and collectively, truly are expressing of the focus of the probationary initiate or the initiate both subjectively and objectively. They are focused on the perfecting of these four forms within themselves to condition the subjective and objective worlds outside of themselves. Part of the requirements for initiation is to demonstrate the conditioning of the inner and outer environments in a greater and greater framework as they progress in this form perfecting process. Thus, the larger framework includes kingdom after kingdom as they progress through these seven stages. The Hierarchy itself as a Unit, likewise, demonstrates a larger framework in that includes the forms of devotion, of persona, of environment, and of the causal body of the Heavenly Man through reflex actions.  Please keep in mind that this applies likewise to the Heavenly Man and the Grand Man of the Heavens as they also are attempting to model the Plan of the Cosmic Christ in context to the four forms, they are responsible for in their group or larger framework context.

We have been building on the relationships between these various esoteric cycles that presents evolutionary opportunities. We will have a more complete understanding once we see how each are related to each which is one of the objectives in this discussion. I will relist them below for reference.

Since these various cycles all interrelate it is not always an easy task to separate them out from one another. Initially, once the analysis was begun to ascertain the influences of the cycles of Jupiter, we noticed the nine plus three-year pattern. First, it appeared to be associated with a cycle of aspiration with the creating of new forms over the first nine years for embodiment and a three-year period of their assimilation and destruction. As the evidence mounted up it was seen that the higher causation influences were more related to the four seasonal influences and the cycles of integration. Thus, it takes much understanding and patience to validate the facts for oneself. All must be held hypothetically. Fortunately, with advanced age and written evidence and experiences related to many cycles of Jupiter the task is easier as it takes time for these influences to descend into brain awareness.

A cycle of evolution is given as being qualified and conditioned by the triangle the constellations of Cancer-Aries-Capricorn. Cancer in any house depicts the present sub-cycle of evolution’s incarnation focus on individualization or ultimate Self-realization (of group purpose and plan) opportunities through form creation or form control and liberation from the self-created present karmic form path if the human unit is on the reverse wheel. Either way it represents a focus on karmic forms. If on the normal wheel it will depict the soul’s desire for form creation or a specific karmic path development direction into the three-worlds that the personality can use to fulfill its apparent needs as opposed to the creation of forms to meet real needs to move out of the three-worlds. This will become more self-evident when one evaluates their own natal chart as to the houses they qualify or rule exoterically and esoterically.

In many ways the four Lords of Karma through the influences from Sirius regulate the development of these four forms for our solar system. The fourth cosmic path is very much related to progressing these four forms it would appear. This is more of an advanced analysis not herein covered but you should try to work out the correlations. The four tiers of egoic lotus petals can be understood to be related to the perfecting of the four forms among other types of fours. The highest cosmic archetype if relevance appears to be linked to the four sub-planes of the cosmic mental place where the four groups of seven – the seven paths, the seven Rays, the seven Ashrams, and the seven Root Races reach  an eventual synthesis we are told. These four are reflected in the cosmic etheric plane manifesting in respect to the fourth creative Hierarchy form related vibration, sound, light, and color.

Cancer qualifies the nature of the various forms created for the soul to express through particularly related to the house and other influences playing upon such house. Remember, all thoughts, desires, and activities take place through a qualified form that can be defined as having any type and number of characteristics. As an example, if Cancer rules the twelfth house then the soul’s focus will be the creation of forms by which it can balance its individual and group karma expressed through the sixth house of intended self-less service in karmic context with some subjective group related soul-personalities for this incarnation. To do this effectively, the soul-personality must have an awareness of past lives and an integrated personality becoming soul infused as the soul perceives this as a continuity of awareness. This balancing of past lives with subjective groupings of other individual soul-personalities is especially the case with Pluto and Venus in the twelfth house.  Please keep in mind that these groupings of soul-personalities one is balancing karma with are also composed of lives of the four lower creative hierarchies and as such represents the need to balance the karma related to these lives. This is not easy to grasp for most unless they have some experience with working with these lives directly as an initiate does when the door opens to work with these various hierarchy of lives.

Pluto, in the twelfth house proffers freedom from all lower matter and its lower psychic related past life form creations (hierarchical lives) and their control. It raises these up through the transmutation process to be transformed; and in combination with Venus (in Cancer and 12^th house) they transform these patterns or beautifies them and thus they can be recreated into other forms or forces and released energies for group service.  The active intelligent love focuses of Venus in Cancer, as a rule, it was given that it makes the mind a servant of the form or personality, but Pluto assists in overcoming this karmic propensity and channels these forms created propensities through form regeneration towards more self-less service form potentials. Venus subjects in the twelfth house can only really understand their own divinity or self-worth through the eyes of others (due to the polarity of the sixth house ruled by Virgo) and this increased need to demonstrate self-less service assists them in overcoming their karmic propensities. Cancer in the twelfth-sixth house polarity is sensitive to the real and apparent form needs of others and also protective and nurturing of these needs and thus the addressing of these needs assists one in seeing themselves as more spiritual thus attempting to beautify all relationships in some way through assisting others with meeting these needs and thus beautify oneself hopefully or at least mirrored as motivational feedback in the process.  Form karma and “ugliness” are equivalent expressions in the eyes of the group soul. The path of beauty is the release from individual form karma to address the form karma of the Heavenly Man and if Venus in Cancer in the twelfth house this becomes more possible. In many ways the path of Beautification is the only viable path. Ascension progress is through Beauty absorbed and reflected or intended creation pattern identified with.  Thus, liberation from subjective or past life (causal body) forms enhanced in this example by Pluto and Venus. By assisting others to free and beautiful themselves we can also free and beautify ourselves and vise-versa. Cancer is about the re-creation eventually of the perfect form to express the intended activity of the Logos on the lower cosmic, systemic, and planetary three planes; and this to assist in balancing of the Heavenly Man’s Karma.

In this referenced chart case Aries rules or conditions, the activities of the ninth house. Aries qualifies the desired orientation of the soul-personality and is expressive of the spirit-soul will to know the truth of all things related to incarnation especially and the will to be and to do especially in respect to linking the higher mind with the intuitive mind with the universal mind and building these qualities into the higher mind over time.  It is this process that produces the state of mental, buddhic, and atmic mind enlightenment.   These are three progressive stages of enlightenment. This is the path of beautification of the four forms. Whether the development of the higher mind is to better secure spiritual desires in terms of the three worlds or in terms of moving out of the three-worlds is determined by the direction on the wheel they are moving. If Jupiter is in the ninth house, and the subject is on the reverse wheel, then this house is symbolic of the path out of incarnation towards the repository of universal Truth and knowledge-wisdom through the processes of fusion and synthesis of all truths, philosophies, knowledge and beliefs necessary to discover the higher cosmic principles and laws of existence than Jupiter will dharmically speed up this process towards this end.

Jupiter does not discriminate types of desires but expands existing house potentials regardless of the level these are actualized. In respect to those on the reversed wheel, Jupiter in any house depicts some aspect or set of attributes that can be developed to serve the larger Plan of Spirit (as opposed to one’s individual plan) wanting to be focused and expressed through the human soul-personality in any one incarnation. Jupiter in the ninth house expands the contact opportunities through travel subjectively to many sources of Truth and knowledge-wisdom depending upon the development level of the higher mind. Jupiter’s type of expansion is more related to communication and contact opportunities within an area of intent given the second ray’s will to attract, relate and unify. The inner worlds open’s up to the adventurous traveler into the unknown, if an initiate on the reversed wheel, under the Jupiter influences, as Jupiter brings to vision these worlds. And if on the normal wheel it opens many adventures into the three-planes of worldly existence. The Aries decanate where Jupiter is located, in this example is the third decanate, determines not only one of the three major aspect of life, quality and appearance but also the plane or dimension of maximum endeavor. If on the reversal wheel and Jupiter in the first decanate of appearances aspect than physical travel adventures and if second of quality than second aspect type of subjective consciousness types of travel adventures and learning and if the third of life than first aspect types of will-mental travels and adventures that are expanded. If on the reverse wheel than either manasic, intuitive, or universal mind travels to dimensional sources and expanding from their contact and exchange.  Thus, for the advanced disciple it would mean first personality planes of travel and moving around and later once they made the reversal it would mean higher mind, intuitive mind leading to universal mind new contacts and interactions. Thus, Aires determines the orientation and potential new creative form opportunities are transmitted or communicated from. Aries is about the orientation of the Logos and His creative intents that Cancer must accommodate.

In this referenced case or chart Capricorn qualifies the sixth house where the soul begins to balance its karma focused through the ruling constellation and decanate related rulers and planetary rulers. Sixth house is traditionally ruled by Virgo, an earth sign, and exoterically by Mercury thus making the subject very down to earth and practical in small things. Capricorn, also an earth sign, and offers opportunity to expand to a wider stage of endeavor, and on the sixth house means practical efforts and accomplishments through demonstrate routines thus normally conservative and cautious and as such can hold responsible positions as the focus is on self-less service if an aspirant but due to Capricorn influence can also have a world stage on some dimension.   The planet Earth is in Capricorn and there was a propensity to ground all experiences in some practical service way related to the spiritual path no matter how subjective the focus of the subject’s personality. With sun (opposite the earth) in Cancer but in the eleventh house then the focus is on creating  new esoteric group related contacts towards form developments to better assist others towards their goal of re-orientation out of form control through the reconstruction of a more inclusive group form to serve but yet liberate and beautify or balance karma (Pluto conjuncts Venus in the twelfth house) which will also institute in the next life a new karmic pattern of service creation. Thus, if a disciple, then this combination will also assist in the development of their occult nature as occultism is by nature a group scientific, methodological, and pragmatic endeavor especially since Uranus was also in the eleventh house in Gemini.  In this example the north node is also in the sixth house indication that the subject’s intent is to ground everything as a tool for karmic balancing related self-less service as this was not their previous dweller’s propensity as they tend to use energies for more self-fulfilling objectives. Those on the reversed wheel with this configuration subjects have normally spent many lifetimes seeking truth through various forms of meditation and addressing individual and its related group karma necessities. The goal is to free oneself up to begin a new cycle of expansion or new forms of service through the influences of Capricorn. In whatever house Capricorn rules, the goal of the soul which will be expansion into new areas of conquest or world stages of those house related endeavors proffering opportunity towards meeting of their fixed intent or goals.  Capricorn is about the initiating and crystalizing of the Logos’s Activity in context to some larger expansive cosmic stage or for the disciple a larger framework of service on the lower three planes. Thus, a cycle of evolution through form re-creation and its re-orientation towards achieving a self-regeneration to renounce the wisdom of the past for the present to better reach the future envisioned. Thus, sacrificing the lessor for the greater under the Law of Sacrifice.

In Cancer one individualizes their type of incarnation to enhance their evolutionary potential as qualified by the sign on the house cusp and the planetary rulers.  In Aries they orientate or re-orientate their recreated form life experience towards some new recognized impulse purpose.  This purpose is always related to the soul’s overarching purpose and is always related to the larger group plan.  We each interpret this new direction as potentially indicative of a way to maximize our happiness and self-awareness as we dis-identify from earlier forms and move towards recreation of new forms.  Thus, our sense of self can be mirrored in new ways hopefully leading to increased happiness and joy. Again, this is qualified by the sign on the house cusp and the planetary rulers. In Capricorn, our re-created form experiences are intended to meet or expand our service framework stage to express some practical set of planetary experiences and sense of self on one level or another. It is about initiation of newness in some area of expanded space as depicted by the attributes proffered by the sign (Virgo or Christ Consciousness) ruling the house and the planetary rulers focusing of such.

In the example, for the advanced disciple and probationary initiate, with Pluto and Venus in the twelfth house their influences will be first exoteric, and later esoteric and later hierarchical thus the influences respectfully will be first from Scorpio or material related forces and forms, to be liberated from; than Pisces for Pluto or more personality related forces or forms to be liberated from; and later the liberation from soul body or causal related forms linked to humanity’s causal field under hierarchical Pluto. In respect to Venus, first Taurus or animal instinct related forces, then Libra or human instinctual related forces, and later Capricorn or spiritual instinctual related forces. This same rule applies to the three sets of rulers for Cancer – first the Moon veiling Neptune or exposure to past life causal body forms subjectively related to the personality sheaths; than Neptune or group related feeling forms within humanity buddhically considered; and later universal esoteric group related feeling forms related to all groups within the planetary and solar systemic sheaths more monadically considered. Thus, the goal for this incarnation is depicted but whether they achieve it is not depicted.

In this referenced case, the three separate sub-cycles of aspiration focusing on correct orientation required did lead eventually to the cycle of initiation. Afterwards, there was a new focus being conditioned by the crisis of initiation, crisis of the birthplace, and a crisis of the burning ground and resolving these into the radiation of dimension expansion, Self-initiation, and three-form sheath identity and dimensional liberation which includes the human soul. The first and second initiations likewise has aspects of these crises and related qualities as such can be considered as being influenced and conditioned by these, but they have more of the characteristic qualities of the cycle of aspiration or form identity crucifixion, inner conflict and lower self-initiation.  The major initiations have no lower self-types of crucifixion, conflict, or initiation as they are not identified with the form. They all appear to have the quality of initiation but on the path of initiation there is a cooperation between the three-fold-self not experienced in the first two initiations thus the conflict.

Cancer & The Crisis of Incarnation:

A Cycle of Evolution is given as being overall qualified and conditioned by the triangle the constellations of Cancer-Aries-Capricorn. This is due to the planetary expression of the etheric-physical nature of the Logos. One of the purpose related intents of Cancer is the providing and nurturing of form life for some entity that uses it for its embodied expression on some dimension(s). It is considered to be the birthplace into the life of form.

Home is the egoic lotus for the human soul and during manifestation in the three worlds the causal body (a partial expression of the egoic lotus’s representing some of life in body purpose and set of objectives) which represents a focus on karmic form creations. If the human unit is on the normal wheel, it will depict the soul’s desire for form recreation or a specific karmic path development direction into the three-worlds that the soul/personality can use to fulfill its apparent needs as opposed to the creation of the characteristics of the four types of forms to meet the realer needs of the larger group which will occupy its efforts on the reoriented wheel.

In many most ways the four Lords of Karma through the influences from Sirius (transmitted through Cancer-Capricorn duality to Saturn) regulate the initial development of these four forms for our solar system. These four forms can be associated to the first four lower creative Hierarchies responsible for form expression. The fourth cosmic path is very much related to karmically progressing these systemic and cosmic four forms it would appear (this is more of an advanced analysis not herein covered but you might find it useful and interesting). As opposed to the cosmic egoic lotus the human lotus has only four tiers of egoic lotus petals can be understood to be related to the perfecting of the four forms among other types of fours. In respect to our solar system the highest cosmic archetype appears to be linked to the four sub-planes of the cosmic mental place where the four groups of seven find their origin and eventual synthesis (according to A.A.B. – the seven paths, the seven Rays, the seven Ashrams, and the seven Root Races. These four are phase reflected in the four cosmic physical planes manifesting in respect to the fourth creative Hierarchy form related vibration, sound, light, and color on the four lower mental and physical planes.  There are many other correlations which can be constructively and interestingly linked to these for the four basic forms the Cosmic Heavenly Man, Grand Heavenly Man, Heavenly Man Unit, and Humanity reflect and are related to, such as the Quaternary, four Kumaras, lower four spirillae, lower four kingdoms, the first four Means of Yoga, four castes, four Noble Truths, the four Gospels, and four Rays of attribute.

The chart below captures four of these. The fourth major cosmic Law of Karma is regulated by the four Lords of Karma as to the types and natures of form creative potential available as karma works through manas.

Cancer, the fourth sign related particular to the form of devotion, qualifies the nature of the various forms created for the soul to express through particularly related to the house it rules natally and other influences playing upon such house. Remember, all racial and individual (one could assume this applies also to systemic and cosmic forms) thoughts, desires, and activities take place through a qualified form that can be defined as having any type and number of characteristics which will be indicated by the influences playing upon this house astrologically and those planets transmitting its influences when considered.  Cancer transmits the seventh and third Rays and is ruled by Moon veiling Neptune and unveiled Neptune all of which are revealing of its third or Appearance aspect Intent and Purpose or Trinity in manifestation. It governs the Devas of the waters, the Waters or Ocean of Substance (veiled by involutionary Matter of the lower three worlds symbolized by the Moon or the Human Unit controlled by the threefold form) and symbolically governs the cosmic astral plane as well as all other sixth subplanes.

Please keep in mind that these outer groupings of soul-personality desire based relationships one is co-creating karma with are also composed of lives of the four lower creative hierarchies and as such represents the co-creating of karma related to these lives and the larger whole or Life that organizes them. This is not easy to grasp unless on the path of initiation and have some experience with working with these lives directly once the door opens permitting conscious working with these various hierarchies of lives.

Cancer is concerned with the protection and nurturing of form related needs. The evolutionary goal of building a lighted house which is the focus of those with Cancer Sun and Ascendant proceeds by replacing the focus on addressing apparent needs with that of addressing real needs and thus the addressing of these needs assists one in beautifying of their four forms. All relationships address form related needs in some pragmatic way through assisting each other with meeting these needs and when relationships are created to address or mirror real needs than the form becomes potentially more beautified. Thus, a spiritual path is really a path for the increasing of one’s beatification of form expression. Form karma and “ugliness” are equivalent expressions in the eyes of the soul or group soul. The path of beauty leads to the release from individual form karma to better address the form karma of the Heavenly Man. In many ways the path of Beautification is the only viable path. Ascension progress is through Beauty absorbed and reflected in the intended group plan creation pattern identified with.  Thus, liberation from subjective or past life pathway dweller (causal body) forms can be enhanced indirectly by assisting others to free and beautiful themselves so through mirroring we can also free and beautify ourselves and vise-versa. Cancer is about the re-creation eventually of the perfect form to express the intended creative activity of the Logos on the lower cosmic, systemic, and planetary three planes; and this to assist in balancing of or the beautifying of the Heavenly Man’s Karmic forms.  Cancer influences ultimately provides the initiate with the knowingness and will to assist in the intent (which began in Aries) of divinity which is in motion to organize all creative form activity according to Its Purpose and not the purpose of the initiate. Only thus will the necessary Beauty be expressed.

Aries & The Crisis of Orientation:

Aries is given as the source for the birthplace of divine Ideas which are symbolized by groups of souls coming into incarnation as well as those being processed within the Universal Mind.

Aries orientates and qualifies the direction and nature of form creation for the soul-personality and is expressive of the spirit-soul will to know the truth of all things related to some incarnation especially, and the will to be and to do especially in respect to linking the higher mind with the intuitive mind and these with the universal mind and building these qualities into the higher mind over time.  It is this process that produces the state of mental, buddhic, and atmic mind enlightenment.   These are three progressive stages of enlightenment. This is the path of beautification of the four forms. Whether the development of the higher mind is to better secure spiritual desires in terms of the three worlds or in terms of moving out of the three-worlds is determined by the direction on the wheel they are moving.

Thus, Aires determines the orientation and potential new creative form opportunities are transmitted or communicated from. Aries is about the orientation of the Logos and His creative intents that Cancer must accommodate.

The crisis of reversal conditioned by Aries-Libra with the equality of correct orientation and present three life cycles leading to wheel reversal was related in sequence to first the mental reflecting the monadic activity influence. Later, the astral reflecting the link to the soul activities, and thirdly, the physical linked to the personality activities. It is confusing when one is in the middle of a crisis to find the correct theoretical perspective especially if the theory of the path is not known or correctly understood. This does not preclude the influences from the other cycles, stages, and astrological configurations one is responding to by any means on some periodic vehicle. A high degree of discrimination unfoldment, which is a product of mental sensitivity and the ability to trace an influence back to its source or sources are required to ascertain causes. Believe it or not, we do become proficient in doing this once the head center is open.  Thus, it makes determining one’s point in evolution more challenging especially given the group nature of planetary integration. The outcome for each of these cycles is some greater self-knowledge and thus expansion of opportunity and increased potential for mastering of one’s life in some way. If the effect inspires one to the taking more firmly one’s own spiritual unfoldment more consciously in hand than it was successful. This result will eventually lead to accepted discipleship and the path of initiation consciously acknowledged.

Capricorn & The Crisis of Initiation:

Capricorn, also an earth sign, and offers opportunity to expand to a wider stage of endeavor, and due to Capricorn influences can also have a world stage on some dimension.

In whatever house Capricorn rules, the goal of the soul which will be expansion into new areas of conquest or world stages of those house related endeavors proffering opportunity towards meeting of their fixed intent or goals.  Capricorn is about the initiating and crystalizing of the Logos’s Activity in context to some larger expansive cosmic stage of karmic related form service or for the disciple a larger framework of service on the lower three planes. Thus, a cycle of evolution through form re-creation and its re-orientation towards achieving a self-regeneration to renounce the wisdom of the past for the present to better reach the future envisioned. Thus, sacrificing the lessor for the greater under the Law of Sacrifice.

Summary:

In Cancer one individualizes their type of incarnation to enhance their form evolutionary potential as qualified by the sign on the house cusp and the planetary rulers.  Cancer builds the lighted house. In Aries they orientate or re-orientate their recreated form life experience towards some new recognized impulse purpose.  This purpose is always related to the soul’s overarching purpose and is always related to the larger group plan.  We each interpret this new direction as potentially indicative of a way to maximize our happiness and self-awareness as we dis-identify from earlier forms and move towards recreation of new forms.  Thus, our sense of self can be mirrored in new ways hopefully leading to increased happiness and joy. Again, this is qualified by the sign on the house cusp and the planetary rulers. In Capricorn, our re-created form experiences are intended to meet or expand our service framework stage to express some practical set of planetary experiences and sense of self on one level or another. It is about initiation of newness in some area of expanded space.

Planetary aspects to these planets in these houses and signs will qualify the type of adjustments and methods required to meet these house related patterns of duality as they represent past life dweller patterns that need to be balanced. The planets influences evoked will be either exoteric, esoteric, hierarchical or a combination of such. Thus, the focus of the cycle of evolution will be conditioned either by:

• For the average person, the cycle will be conditioned by the mutable cross, the Sun sign, signs on the house cusps and the exoteric ruling planets.
• For the advanced aspirant and disciple, the cycle will be conditioned by the fixed cross, the ascendant, twelve zodiacal constellations, the first four solar systems and esoteric planetary rulers,
• For the initiate, the cycle will be conditioned by the cardinal cross, the six zodiacal constellation polarities, the nine cosmic paths, the major constellations, the seven solar systems, and hierarchical planetary rulers will also condition the incarnation sub-cycle of evolution endeavor in general. They will also be conditioned by all of the earlier influences and one more than another at different junctures in their maturation cycle.

II.              Gemini, Scorpio-Virgo – Crisis of Relationship Stage (Rules No. 2 & 9)

For Applicants:  When application has been made in triple form, then let the disciple withdraw that application and forget it has been made.

For Disciples and Initiates:  The Word has now gone forth from the great point of tension:  Accepted as a group.  Withdraw not now your application.  You could not, if you would; but add to it three great demands and forward move.  Let there be no recollection and yet let memory rule.  Work from the point of all that is within the content of the group’s united life. R&I, pp.19-29

For Applicants:  Let the disciple merge himself within the circle of the other selves.  Let but one colour blend them and their unity appear.  Only when the group is known and sensed can energy be wisely emanated. IH&S, p. 202

Let the group know there are no other selves.  Let the group know there is no colour, only light; and then let darkness take the place of light, hiding all difference, blotting out all form.  Then—at the place of tension, and at that darkest point—let the group see a point of clear cold fire, and in the fire (right at its very heart) let the One Initiator appear Whose star shone forth when first the Door was passed. R&I, pp.171-172

Cycle of Aspiration: (Gemini, Scorpio, and Virgo):

The cycle of aspiration from the stage of intelligent integrated man to that of the accepted disciple and from the experience of intellectual expression in the three worlds to that of the probationer who is seeking trial upon the Path and is beginning to take his spiritual unfoldment consciously in hand.

Given most of us interested in such topics have spent most of our lives in spiritual aspiration so from our advantage point of only one incarnation it appears that these are sub-cycles; but the cycle of aspiration is defined first as the second major stage of evolution and also can be defined as taking place in two separate periods. The first begins at the juncture where intellectual expression is the normal focus and acts as a trail period for probationary discipleship; and secondly, the period from that of the intellectual integrated man to that of accepted discipleship after the second initiation as a rule in this new training dispensation. Even so, each of these cycles have to be recapitulate each life depending upon our previous status or point in evolution and this itself make the separation of the present causes for development from the past points of development difficult due mostly to the fact that the cycle of maturation is closely followed step by step with the cycles of integration in a psycho-synthesis experiential sense. All unfoldment’s can be understood to be causatively related to a cycle of integration’s set of stages under the science of triangles.

The Cycle of Aspiration is conditioned by the influences of Gemini-Scorpio-Virgo through their three sets of planetary rulers.  It is inclusive of three respective crises of the soul – Crisis of Renunciation, Crisis of the Battlefield, and Crisis of the Birthplace.  Gemini’s keynote or crisis quality given is “crucifixion”; Scorpio’s keynote given is “conflict”; and Virgo’s keynote is “initiation”. These qualities become apparent to the aspirant as they respond sequentially to these constellation influences beginning for most aspirants who had some discipleship status from a previous life  normally around age 21 when the mental sheath is re-appropriated by the soul.  In other words, they would be sequentially recapitulated this life in a certain order, either top down or bottom up at the same time, with one progressively predominating the others.

The process begins consciously for most with an input of energy by the soul influenced by Saturn at the time it appropriates the mental sheath. It can also begin for those more sensitive around age 12 during the time the soul appropriates the astral sheath. If there is any resistance to the circulation of the newly discharged energy into the centers then the crisis is attempted to be resolved by renouncing of the past forms of identification on all three levels of the personality to move out of the qualitative field of feeling crucified. It is this process of acquiescing to this new awareness of a new set of wants and desires that motivates the aspirant to seek the correct set of form qualitative characteristics that meets the new perceived, yet unknown soul’s intent given one’s knowledge base.

The maturation process, recapitulated, has led into the personality integration process involving all three sheaths – Hatha yoga, Bhakti yoga, and finally Raja yoga. These are racial forms developed previously to integrate these sheaths. These methods reapplied in some way frees us from the qualities of physical crucifixion and emotional conflict once the quality of initiation, more of a mental quality in line with the soul, becomes the new conditioning quality circulating in the auric field and guiding our actions.  We cycle through the recapitulation process by the purifying first the physical body, followed by the astral, and then the mental working on all three simultaneously but during this period the qualities of crucifixion and conflict remain until the process is complete and the Word is experienced at and followed during/after the second initiation.  It is then we develop in concert with the soul our life plan. For most probationary disciples this takes place after the third Jupiter cycle and the fifth maturation cycle around the age of thirty-five when we can now express the positive characteristics of our personality ray and have some degree of soul, mind, brain continuity of communication. Vulcan, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn, and now Venus, Jupiter, Neptune transforms the qualities of crucifixion and conflict into an impersonal quality of group soul feeling and support.

One can easily argue that the recognition of any real need or renunciation of the present circumstances will lead to a new alignment to some inner or outer source which will produce a crisis of the existing pattern of relationship or an upsetting in the present balance and this can only be resolved by taking new action and initiating a plan. Thus, as one aspires to make a real change in one or other of their four forms the crisis will eventually resolve itself through the creation of a new set of forms to identify with.

A Cycle of Aspiration can be noted once one has initiated the creation of their new forms to express a new pattern of embodied livingness with expanding new contacts, abilities, and objectives and is in process of expressing this new livingness which will eventually evoke a potential point of revelation once karmic forms has outlived its purpose. 

The long run effect of fiery aspiration is accepted discipleship which leads to eventually a cycle of destiny creation (discussed later) through grace linking the disciple now to monadic purpose opportunities or the underlying the goal of each of the initiations.  This goal only applies to the solar initiations as the first two planetary are completed at the third and the fourth planetary.

The fruits or qualities of crucifixion, conflict, and initiation evoked and absorbed and expressed per a cycle of aspiration are required to enter a cycle of initiation and if these are not continuously desiring of demonstrated than one falls out of the cycles in question. The same applies to the fruits, qualities and attributes absorbed and demonstrated with a cycle of initiation which are given as expansion, initiation, and liberation. They must continue to be demonstrated to stay upon the path of initiation as a working pledged disciple. One is only safety or permanently upon the path of initiation in body once the fourth initiation fruits are culminated. This perspective is only from the view of the human soul-personality in body, but it is significant to success in body.

One also falls out of alignment, in respect to the path of initiation once they stop responding to the Heart of the Sun in a literal sense. symbolically the Heart of the Sun influence is being transmitted by a hidden second ray planet and Jupiter, whom is the transmitter of the WORD and represents the Desire of the Grand Heavenly Man as expressing through the greater Builders (Heavenly Men). We each respond according to our monadic destiny potential as this is reflected in our group soul related purpose and the group karmic patterns, reflecting the Heavenly Man’s in the three worlds. Illumination is the key to alignment. The seven laws of the soul introduced in the next section is the key to illumination.

A cycle of initiation is given as that cycle which begins at the preparatory training stage of accepted discipleship up through a Master of Wisdom and beyond. As earlier pointed out accepted discipleship status normally follows the second initiation, but it is confusing if one has taken the second initiation in an earlier life and is recapitulating it. One should assume that form the personality’s point of reference the requirements for accepted discipleship also need to be recapitulated and if they have increased these likewise need to be demonstrated. Thus, for those recapitulating the first and second initiations and accepted discipleship requirements the “stillness visions” are also recapitulated or first point of revelation and those following revelations associated to the inner sheaths also need to be recapitulated is our own experiential surmising.  Regardless of these assertions herein each needs to determine their own point on the path based upon their own experiences.

Please note that within a sub-cycle of aspiration, or a recapitulated cycle of aspiration which includes a cycle of karmic form creation very much related to the aspiration focus (or four forms recreation, and regeneration). A cycle of planetary integration includes also five or seven self-induced revelations ending with a culmination point of revelation in which new understanding is applied leading to a transition to a greater life and assimilation based upon the  expanded reality giving rise to new powers and horizon with new planned service objectives meeting real need. Thus, leading up to a cycle of initiation and following it there are still a set of new ideal forms of devotion, persona, environment, and new path causality activity form potential that need to be refined and demonstrated.

Many aspirants might have one cycle of planetary integration (sub-cycle of initiation) depicting their complete life in body and afterwards on the inner planes or even across multiple lives but we all have the same maturation cycles as well as cycles of sheath related aspiration or cycles of karmic form creation and destruction even if no formal cycle of aspiration or cycle of initiation. A cycle of aspiration and initiation must be evoked by the applicant which is not the case with a cycle of maturation or a cycle of Jupiter proffering renewed.

In respect to one’s natal chart, the more karmic influences on a cycle of aspiration as conditioned by Gemini-Scorpio-Virgo might be seen in respect to the houses the normally rule – the second, eighth and the eleventh houses. One can evaluate their esoteric rulers as they are beginning to have an influence on the disciple, and after age 39 the hierarchical rulers are having a major influence in respect to the cycle of aspiration influences.  Thus, it is important to know the point in evolution of the subject for astrological analysis.  Esoterically, the influences of Gemini can be understood to be coming through Venus and the influences of Scorpio through Mars as well as the influences of Virgo through the Moon. The question is really how to prioritize these influences impacting the subject? There are two ways we all could begin. First with the understanding of the influences of the signs ruling the houses and secondly with the understanding of the planets in the houses. These two together make for an interesting pairing for the journey of the subject through life particularly in the early form recreation years. Later the influences of the constellations through the planets take on a more important rule esoterically.

One can see that the focus of this life for a disciple will be upon the development and use of their personality sheath forms and four expressive forms for soul related purposes and particularly gift development.  This process will be karmically qualified by second house planetary influences or in this case Saturn and Neptune.  Saturn and Neptune both square Uranus in Gemini ruled eleventh house. Or in other words both form karma and feeling karma as resources will prevent correct group soul purposes and gifts from being identified with until the correct group feeling, and group destiny is isolated and form creative processes undertaken. Since the Moon is the ruler of Virgo than the correct result can be expected to be demonstrated as this was worked out in past lives with a few set-backs is one way of defining the influence of a planetary ruler in its sign of rulership. You might also look at this as a way of escaping from off of the planet in the respect to (second) house influences as well as escaping from out of form identification in this case leading to presented attributes that are offered and can be embodied for services contingencies. Aspiration through self-initiation to resolve the crisis of the birthplace and to be born again into a higher sense of Self in form and out of form.

Looking at the influences of the constellations through the planets in the case of Scorpio through Mars with a goal of the merging and balancing of internal sheath related oppositions or finding of the middle path.  Mars brings together opposites or polarities and Scorpio for the disciple is about three things particularly. First it is about discovering and preventing of past life dweller patterns from influencing one’s present processes.  Next, it is about removing oneself from the planetary influences of the three worlds in general and receiving influences telepathically from members of the New Group of World Servers (fellow aspirants and disciples) and for this subject this is the case.  Moon in Virgo depicts an ongoing process of building the Christ Body or Spiritual Triad. The crisis of the battlefield leads to the quality of conflict.  There is no creative conflict if one is not attempting to merge or balance oppositions and thus not ascending. Identity in awareness type conflict requires contact and communication with that contacted and later some form of identification or not creating the self-conflict of the other discover within. Thus, one approach the Whole through many more inclusive identifications. Aspiration is generally towards resolving all inner and outer conflicts in some intelligently loving form creative way. Alignment is an act of harmony between two points. Libra—Guards the secret of balance, of equilibrium and finally speaks the word which releases the initiate from the power of the Lords of Karma.

Venus unites the lives of the personality, lives of the soul and the lives of the spirit. It does so through the esoteric influences of Gemini through uniting of the six polarities or twelve constellation influences within the causal field.  Gemini—Guards the mystery or secret of duality and presents the initiate with a word which leads to the fusion of the greater pairs of opposite. The crisis of renunciation is resolved through expressing of the Christ Consciousness. The quality necessary for this is crucifixion or to climb onto the mutable cross consciously. One can take themselves off of this cross only after they do not identify with form consciousness. Bondage of the personality to the lower lives embodying its sheaths and psychic forms needs to be released through balancing of past live karma through understanding and re-identification to the soul and later spirit. Only the freed soul identified with spirit can free the soul and personality from form substance through the balancing and expression of the six potentiates of the constellation influences unfolded on the three crosses. Love and reason leading to wisdom are required, and this Venus eventually transmits from Gemini or the cosmic Christ.  Aspiration to be free from personality identification and chaos leading to conscious self-crucifixion and eventual liberation is the way of the aspirant to self-conflict and self-initiation.

III.            Capricorn, Virgo, Leo – Light of the Larger Group or Whole Stage (Rules No. 3 &10)

For Applicants:  Triple the call must be and long it takes to sound it forth.  Let the disciple sound the call across the desert, over all the seas and through the fires which separate him from the veiled and hidden door.

For Disciples and Initiates:  Dual the moving forward.  The Door is left behind.  That is a happening of the past.  Let the cry of invocation issue forth from the deep centre of the group’s clear cold light.  Let it evoke response from the bright centre, lying far ahead.  When the demand and the response are lost in one great SOUND, move outward from the desert, leave the seas behind and know that God is Fire.

For Applicants:  The Army of the Voice, the devas in their serried ranks work ceaselessly.  Let the disciple apply himself to a consideration of their methods; let him learn the rules whereby the Army works within the veils of maya.

For Disciples and Initiates:  The rules for work within the veils of maya are known and have been used.  Let the group widen all the rents within those veils and thus let in the light.  Let the Army of the Voice be no more heard and let the brothers onward move within the Sound.  Then let them know the meaning of the O.M. and let them hear that O.M. as it is sounded forth by Him Who stands and waits at the very centre of the Council Chamber of the Lord.

The cycle of initiation is given as beginning during the preparatory stage of training for accepted discipleship to a Master of Wisdom and higher. The cycle of initiation it is conditioned by the three synthesizing influences of Capricorn, Virgo, and Leo that expresses the intent of the triangle of influences and that is also acting as the third aspect for the cycle of evolution or Capricorn and the third aspect for the cycle of aspiration or Virgo.  Leo is given for the aspect that is thus actively expressing all seven of the soul crises constellation related influences.  Capricorn can be understood to express the first aspect of the third aspect, Virgo is expressing the second aspect of the third aspect and Leo the third aspect of the third aspect blending and transmitting all seven influences. Thus, the summating influences of Leo, Virgo, and Capricorn or the seven constellations are prevalent throughout all seven initiations. According to A.A.B. all the seven crises are re-enacted during the process of self-initiation into the subjective worlds and constitute the keynote for each of the seven initiations.

The keynotes or expressing qualities for the first three initiations were earlier discussed and given as individualization, orientation, and expansion related to Cancer-Aries-Capricorn. These were surmised as being related to the keynotes of Leo-Virgo-Scorpio or liberation, initiation, and conflict.  It can be pointed out that that correct demonstration of the energies and forces of individualization lead to eventual liberation just as the correct orientation leads to initiation or various levels of  liberation; and that expansion leads to new contacts within the initiatory field on the planes or subjective worlds associated with the seven initiations producing absorption of  new energies and forces and creates a conflict of identification and related circulation of energies absorbed and released within one’s inner and outer environments.  This will only be really understood by those who have entered the initiatory field of the higher initiations.

When does a stage of initiation begin? In respect to the first three initiations, a stage of Initiation can be assumed to have begun when one finds themselves coming out of a major burning ground scenario but which has also generated a “stillness vision” (of a symbolic future endeavor needing manifested) which might include also a summation symbolic teaching.  This process is experienced as taking place within an ambience of of “a peace which surpasses understanding”. We know that Capricorn’s Crisis is Initiation keynote is expansion; Virgo’s Crisis of the Birthplace keynote is initiation; and Leo’s Crisis Burning Ground keynote is liberation.

The burning ground from the point of view of the crisis of the soul is ruled by Leo or the Sun. Thus, liberation from the old identifications in consciousness leads to a new birthplace of opportunity initiated by the Sun/Moon veiling Vulcan in the first initiation but unveiled in the second. It is Vulcan that can be understood as conditioning and thus confers the “stillness vision”. Consciousness expansion of awareness or initiation into newness can also be understood to be that which leads to the initiation of new more inclusive plane and ray related contacts and thus service goals and assistance; and this leads to liberation from old contacts and goals. The burning ground can likewise be understood as an awareness acquired for the necessity to destroy and recreate a set of new karmic forms to express through one’s four forms from the inside out. The number of “stillness visions” invoked in one life in body indicates the number of major stages of initiation or planetary integrations invoked in general. It is not always easy to tell the difference without a more complete knowledge of the science of the path between a “stillness vision” and a vision related to some stage of discipleship and/or the re-appropriation of a vehicle by the soul.  “Stillness visions” have that seemingly unique “peace which surpasses understanding” from the buddhic plane. They also indicative of procedure, location and objective; plus, they also symbolically indicate the end of a karmic cycle in some way per the vision content. It is difficult to know if one is recapitulating an earlier stage of initiation or a new one per any given “stillness vision.”  The rule is that whether recapitulated or not a fiery perseverance is required to meet the vision’s intent.  Regardless of the influences behind a vision they all relate to the soul’s overall purpose intent. The first point of revelation begins a cycle of initiation.

The following is a description of a “stillness vision” or First Point of Revelation:

The First Point of Revelation: Energy follows thought and the eye directs the energy.

…We are to concern ourselves with that which lies behind the mental perception of the ordinary man and with the revelation which comes to the initiate disciple as he stands within the ashram and perceives—as a result of the initiatory process—the nature of the divine Plan, as it can be seen working out on various planes of our planetary existence. There are three things which the initiate notes as the new panorama unfolds in flashing light before him:

1. The point of tension which precedes revelation. There is much to be considered in relation to tension as the forerunner of initiation and its subsequent revelation.
2. The stillness by which the revealing vision is surrounded, if I may so inadequately express the idea. The revelation is given to the initiate as if there was nothing in all the world but himself (a point of tension) and a vortex of force which takes form before his eyes, revealing to him an inevitable but future activity.
3. The level upon which the revelation (apprehended at the highest possible point of consciousness for the initiate) must eventually be materialised or brought into being.

Initiation is always taken on levels of consciousness higher than the mental, and the initiate must not only realise the significance of the revelation but must also know the sphere of activity of which it will be the inspiration. I would have you ponder on the wording of this last sentence.

Each of the five points of revelation indicates to the initiate: procedure, location and objective. DINA II, pp. 372-373

The presentation of these sub-stages within a stage of initiation and a set of seven meditations is presented in the Discipleship for the New Age Volume I and II works by A.A.B. Every aspirant would benefit if they spend a few years absorbing these teachings as doing these meditations as this was the reason they were given out. Never think that they were only for those members in these two experimental groups of disciples.

The cycle of initiation represents a series of supreme efforts towards newness or successful sensitivity and awareness training and expansion from the subjective grouping leading to an actual stabilized expansion of consciousness and potentially a culminating revelation at some point. The culminating points for the stages or cycles of initiation related efforts are not necessarily aligned with Jupiter return cycles but Jupiter cycle influences appear to assist in the evoking of the necessary supreme effort just as they assist in evoking seasonal and aspiration cycles. Jupiter is the major transmitter of second ray influence which is the major building ray influence.

The Capricorn-Virgo-Leo influence is given as the triangle which is the synthesizing influence of the set of seven crises and assist in liberating the disciple from the human kingdom and re-identifying with the spiritual kingdom through the ongoing processes of initiation.   Its three qualifying energies of expansion, initiation, and liberation are very distinctive and depending upon which influence is emanating determines the over-riding quality of our consciousness. Unless Capricorn (as a unique experiential energy pattern) is the emanating energy there will not be the quality of expansion prevailing and these are noticed to shift over time. The quality of liberation is followed by the quality of initiation which is followed by the quality of expansion from the point of view of the personality and the soul and of spirit sequentially. In this case the quality of liberation is the quality of release of the monad’s identification from the soul, and the release of the soul’s identity from the personality, and the quality of release of the personality’s identification with the three-fold vehicle. It is likewise a progressive process of high points or from point to point one travels over time where the degree of liberation sheath by sheath moves one closer to identification with the three-fold deity.

Interestingly and inferential, the successful development of Self-consciousness of the individualized monad, soul, and personality sub-plane by sub-plane or also sheath by sheath and their sequence of release from each respective sub-plane or related sheath is characteristic of this releasing, self-initiating and expanding into greater more inclusive life correlated to each of the three periodic vehicles. There follows from this release into an area of subjective space where one self-initiates new contacts and relationships followed by qualitative energy absorptions and related expansions due to these relationship qualities absorbed.  Thus, one can better appreciate that the cycle of initiation sequentially experienced is the life of spirit descending to manifest as the personally and soul become identified with spirit. Thus, the movement on the reverse wheel from Leo to Virgo to Capricorn is the same involutionary direction Agni takes in descending to manifest originally through the creative Hierarchies. Leo is symbolically placed as ruling the first creative Hierarchy as it represents our plane by plane release and self-initiating a new expanded life. The liberation process, plane by plane and vehicle by vehicle, is reflected and initiated by the will-to-illuminate and the will-to-fulfillment under Leo influences as symbolized by its three-fold ruler focusing the three-fold cross totality of influences within and through themselves and out into their subjective and objective environments.  The sun influences produce the sensitization of form substance or personality-soul-spirit required for manifesting an individual Christ and this sensitization process is enhanced by Virgo and Capricorn permitting a sensitized awareness of the one Body of God and thus new destinations.  Thus, one begins to understand the importance of Leo and Virgo in producing the God-Man recognized in Capricorn, which is not symbolic but a literal achievement in respect to higher Psychic Gift Waves contacts leading to development of spiritual and divine attribute demonstration through subjective fields of contact.

The cycle of evolution and cycle of aspiration conditioning forces prominent in the first two major cycles of unfoldment are effectively blended in the cycle of initiation phase or the last phase where the twelve final tests are evoked. These seven plus the remaining five permit the now accepted disciple to progressively enter the fifth kingdom as his three periodic vehicles are translated.  This is effectively saying that one is responding to and the blending of the three planetary rulers’ influences.

There is given various qualitative emanating triangle possibilities linked to the fruits being produced by the summarizing triangle of Leo, Virgo, and Capricorn influences. These possible set of qualities available for absorption follow upon the related Leo, Virgo, and Capricorn liberation, initiation, and expansion successes also conditioned under or within the cycle of initiation.  The source constellations for these adjunct triangles and significant triangles have been given as Sagittarius, Libra, Taurus, Pisces and Aquarius. These five with the earlier soul crises related seven together move the disciple step by step out of identification with the fourth kingdom into a growing identification with the fifth kingdom but this involves the response to many sets of triangles all superimposed upon each other. This takes several lives to accomplish. One day, once third degree initiates populate humanity their will follow the preferred sequence of response for each disciple in training of these various triangle influences impacting this solar system and planet.  Present cataloging of these is quite limited and only a few of these triangles’ influences were introduced by A.A.B and are listed below.

The most important and equally dramatic of these triangles of opportunity experienced, which is derived from this set of eight constellations or Leo, Virgo, and Capricorn added to Sagittarius, Libra, Taurus, Pisces and Aquarius, was that of Leo, Virgo, and Pisces.  It was given that this triangle influence that will carry the disciple from point to point in wisdom knowledge expression. This is the achieved focussed goal of any expansion for service-related reasons. The influence of this triangle finds symbolic expression in the life of the self-conscious individual who reaches self-awareness in Leo; in the culturing care of Virgo and the final self-release in Pisces. Pisces acts as the synthesizing influence of the five constellations of Sagittarius, Libra, Taurus, Pisces and Aquarius and as it also completes the final united effort of the Triangle: Leo-Virgo-Pisces. Thus, all individual unfoldment objectives are ultimately conditioned by the influences of Pisces given its position of power over time and leading position in the twelve creative Hierarchies ruling from the third subplane of the cosmic Astral plane conditioning our systemic set of Lives.  Pisces will continue to condition and influence the creative hierarchy of Lives for the next approximate 23,000 years’ we are told as the Central Spiritual Sun or monadic cycle entered Pisces 2000 years ago. The approximately 2500-year Egoic cycle portion conditioned by Aquarian influences are still being overseen by Pisces it appears and will continue for approximately 2000 years.

It is surmised, given some evidence, that the Source of this peaked aptitude of the soul related wisdom-knowledge experienced and expressed comes in from the third cosmic pathway. We have been told that the expression of this quality is the present goal of the planetary Logos and the third cosmic path is the path of training for planetary Logoi aspirations although we are told the Sanat Kumara is on the sixth cosmic path or the path of training for the solar Logos. These astrological influences will be introduced in Chapter No. 7.

In considering these crises which take place in the life history of the soul from its first incarnation until its final release, it will be found that seven major constellations and their influences, pouring through the exoteric and the esoteric planets, stage the circumstances and condition the environment of the onward-moving, spiritual man. Certain lives will occur when one or other of these constellations will exert a predominant influence. They will produce that focusing of forces which—given a man’s particular equipment at any point in time—will evoke from him the maximum of possible effort, thus enabling him to move forward into a more enlightened state of consciousness. You will note, that I do not say “enable him to be victorious.” A man may succeed in surmounting the testing conditions and in emerging conqueror over circumstances upon the physical plane and yet be defeated. The reason for this is that unless the struggle and the emergence produce basic changes in consciousness and a greatly extended horizon, they will prove futile to accomplish their intended task. EA, p. 474

Another way of perceiving this potential victorious-ness is the stabilization of one’s reality upon a higher sub-plane or plane along with its greatly extended horizon of contacts, influences and potentiates. In other words, transmutation provides new possible capacities and attribute transformations and a group effort to recreate and/or release of karmic related substance lives linked to the respected sub-plane or plane forms related to those lives dwelling therein. There is also the consistent embodiment of the three summation qualities of the three cycles of evolution, aspiration, and initiation – expansion, initiation and liberation of one vehicle or another of the three periodic vehicles.   Thus, life, quality and appearances are more inclusively that of the larger group.

Each of the seven crisis of the soul represents a major stage or seven separate stages of initiations and the seven crises are given to us as being passed through three times over some major life cycle of the soul which means one or more lives in body.  Thus, the influence is being passed through the three periodic bodies and also their three respective sheaths. It is also given that the three cycles might be recapitulated in a minor sense in some particular life. Thus, meaning that the qualifying energies sweep down and circulate back up three times through the personality vehicle first through the mental body followed by the emotional body and later the physical and then revering itself back to the originating source assuming success in making the necessary changes or transformations and transmutations each time in respect to the crisis type.

It is significant to point out that a cycle of integration is only qualified according to the emanating energy contacted during the alignment stage and as such defines well the stages of movement through any type of crisis towards the eventual embodiment of such qualified energy individually used to create  the respectful embodiment four form potentials. One can easily see how one’s incarnation related seven-fold ray make up (monadic ray, dual soul rays, personality ray, and its three sheath rays) would also qualify the nature of each of the stages of integration and their type of life expression and assimilation.

Each of us every life experiences a recapitulation of a cycle of evolution, as with each of impulse influences sweeps down from the monad through the soul and the personality sheaths invoking the mental, emotional, and physical sheaths under the crisis of incarnation causing rebirth or re-individualization. The cycle then sweeps back through the physical, emotional, and mental sheaths producing respectively at each of the soul re-appropriation  junctures some type of new orientation or re-orientation objective under the cycle of maturation which leads potentially to an expansion in a personality vehicle or appearance aspect sense if the personality acquiesces to the qualified energies of the soul producing likewise a potential new more correct orientation and thus new contacts.  This descension and ascension is given as six stages each in Esoteric Psychology II.

1. The stage of Appropriation
2. The stage of Aspiration.
3. The stage of Approach.
4. The stage of Appearance.
5. The stage of Activity.
6. The stage of Ambition.

Thus, first through individualization, then orientation, and finally expansion in respect to the framework of the soul-personality aspect. Thus, at around age 21 the individual’s aspirations becomes more apparent on the physical plane and in the case of an aspirant they will evoke the first crisis under the cycle of aspiration or the crisis of renunciation. If one does not exhibit the correct quality of expansion through acquiescence, then they will not evoke the crisis of renunciation conditioned by Gemini.

The personality’s particular sheath which is the focus of its control and expression can be understood to be that of the physical sheath, whereas the soul’s focus sheath focus of control and quality expression is the astral and the monad’s life focus of control and expression is that of the mental sheath.  The three-fold periodic vehicle integration can be understood to be demonstrating also in the context of control and expression exercised between the three periodic vehicles, such that, eventually the monad is controlling and expressing through the soul and the soul is controlling and expressing through the personality. This can be seen to be correlated with the definition of an integrated personality which is demonstrated in an initial sense once the mind controls the emotions and the emotions controls the physical sheath. Thus, the cycle of evolution related soul crises (incarnation, reversal, and expansion) and qualities (individualization, orientation, and expansion) are reproduced in relationship with every periodic vehicle and also within each of their three sheaths which adds to the confusion or need to discriminate the many influences impacting us. True integration or periodic vehicle integration is not complete until the fourth initiation.

The cycle of aspiration technically began once the soul appropriated the mental sheath and the personality acquiesced to the soul’s directional intent and evoked the crisis of renunciation. The mental plane can be understood to be the home of the personality (which the ego expresses through), a life unit linked to the fifth creative Hierarchy. Technically, the personality unit of life does not descend to the physical but only its influence. It must learn to control the lunar lives of the sixth creative hierarchy and the elementals of the seventh creative hierarchy. Therefore, the personality’s vehicle of control focus is the physical body to meet its appearance objectives similar to the soul’s in meeting its quality within appearance objectives and the monad in meeting its life within appearances objectives.

A cycle of aspiration was shown above to be directly linked to the correct embodiment of the three crises qualities related to the cycle of evolution – individualization, orientation, and expansion and particularly that of correct orientation which is reasonable given it is the second aspect related to quality. A crisis of reversal in direction on the wheel by the personality is thus now towards meeting the soul’s objectives, as opposed to its own mentally, astrally, and physically considered, depicts correct orientation or direction on the wheel but unless there is a corresponding expansion into the group life subjective and objectively it does not lead to the cycle of aspiration conditioning influences that produces the qualities of correct self-crucifixion, correct self-conflict, and correct self-initiation.

It normally takes many lifetimes to stabilize on the reversed wheel on each of the three descending planes but for probationary disciples this process can take place in three basic cycles in one life beginning with the mental sheath, and once there is stability of reversed direction on the physical plane than the cycle of (solar) initiation can be evoked.  Thus, the monad is expressing through the higher mind, which is now the soul’s focus, and in basic control of the soul, as the son of mind, which is expressing through the concrete mind, which is the personality’s focus, and is in basic control; and the personality is expressing through the physical body and is in basic control through the brain. Thus, on the path of initiation all three eventually express through the etheric brain – spirit, soul and personality where the astral sheath and the personality kama-manasic mind awareness is bypassed more and more.

The average person is constantly provided opportunities to evoke the crisis of reversal leading to the quality of correct orientation. Each cycle of integration brings them closer to the correct orientation in one sense.  It is the cycles of Jupiter that enhances these potential cycles of integration which includes some level of individualization, orientation, and expansion and over time to a correct pattern embodiment of these qualities.

The cyclically of the life wave through the three sheaths first seem to impact the life aspect, than the quality aspect and finally the appearance aspect of the three periodic vehicles as it descended to manifest producing a stable reversal on the wheel leading quickly to the cycle of initiation after the second initiation related experiences. Please remember that the first two initiations are not true initiations or solar initiations but only are preparatory to them. This will be discussed later in chapters 8, 9 and 10.  The key is the absorption and radiation of the “fruit” quality leading to some related cycle summation quality “fruit.” Aspiration always begins with an evoked karmic form crisis given the aspirant still identified with form under a cycle of integration leading to the quality of self-crucifixion. It is moved out of through the disidentification with the forms that produced it. The process does not happen quickly and identification with various elements of the form forms produces inner conflicts as one learns correctly the needed direction of form recreation by way of dis-identification or impersonal objectivity. The five most important elements to move one into a cycle of initiation are dispassion, detachment, discrimination, discernment and dis-identification with the appearance aspect and the centralization of the soul or quality aspect. Each ray type proceeds differently in this integration and fusion process, but all eventually are required to follow the second ray method of centralization of the spirit-soul as the central authority and direction.

When under the cycle of initiation, one is moving from peak to peak and it is not easy to discern with absurdness the reasons for theses travels plus there are not really beginning and end points in this magical spirit-soul-personality integration-fusing-duality expansion process. The solar initiations create time and causation disorientation as there is daily newness to comprehend and give correct context so as not to get lost on this journey into the Unknown. One continues to try to organize these journalistic patterns into one’s model of the occult constitution per the hierarchy of lives active within the planetary fields of the planet with earlier findings and theory.

The expansion peaks lead to significant higher levels of wise-knowledge through an expanding group consciousness inclusiveness eventually conditioned by Leo-Virgo-Pisces as earlier noted. There are various qualified types of group consciousness that is only understood as one demonstrates them. This particular energy, conditioning this type of group consciousness effect is surmised to be contacted through the third cosmic path influence. As stated, all initiation is basically group initiation and members of this group are at all levels of evolution especially as one discovers the higher initiatory field.  This means that one is being likewise conditioned by the constellation influences from all seven soul related crisis set of influences, which are reenacted at different levels with each stage of initiation, along with many other conditioning influences.  These stages of initiation demonstrate a new awareness of some state of divine consciousness not before identified with or embodied and thus associated contacts and experiences.

This is so only once the soul has responded to the twelve esoteric ruling planets and blended these somewhat with the exoteric rulers which he does normally between the first and up to and following the second initiation under the cycle of aspiration. The hierarchical influences are slowly added to these combined exoteric and esoteric influences beginning on the path of aspiration. The qualities of individualization, reversal, expansion, crucifixion, conflict, initiation, liberation is present in a correct context.

The blended exoteric, esoteric and hierarchical ruling planets permit these blended and required three crosses influences to move forward in the evolutionary process with rapidity. The nascent blending of all thirty-six influences permits one to be integrated into the Hierarchy and eventually Shamballa consciously. The set of seven constellation influences related to the seven crises do lead to accepted discipleship and soon afterwards the path of initiation and on this path the other five constellations influences do become significant. This path, as noted, lead to unexpected significant contacts which brings to light many unusual spiritual attribute qualities one discovers in their field of consciousness which can be used to move into their discovered path of destiny. Theoretically these are due to the relationship of the five constellations of Libra, Taurus, Sagittarius, Aquarius and Pisces with those conditioning the cycle of initiation or Leo Virgo and Capricorn. These eight given types of influences once absorbed and demonstrated permit one to perfect the second aspect.

As earlier noted, any of the eight constellations can make a triangle with each other where anyone of the three becomes the emanating energy and the other two forces having a major transmitting influence. As a set of reference possibilities for development we list a few of the triangles (or cycles of conditioning) having just Leo in the emanating position of the triangle and not the remaining set of the possible triangles of influence and also not in any particular order of force transmission.  Thus, that are underlined are referenced in Esoteric Astrology. Thus, it takes many influences to turn a human unit into a god.

Leo, Sagittarius, Aquarius (These are: Leo, Sagittarius and Aquarius.  In one peculiar (but not yet provable) manner, they are related to the three aspects of body, soul and spirit (From door to door).

Leo, Libra, Aquarius

Leo, as we have seen, is for instance a most important transmitting agency in the present world crisis. This means, therefore, that Rays I and V are exceedingly active; it means, secondly, that the Sun’s influence is potent, both exoterically and esoterically. It means also that the planets which are related to these two rays will be very active and, therefore, that Pluto and Venus are dominant in producing world results. I cite this as an instance of the interrelation of planets, constellations and rays; a close study of the world crisis will indicate the plausibility of the premise as to the activity of Leo as a major force in the triangle at present responsible for producing the world situation. The underlined triangles above were introduced in discussion in Esoteric Astrology. These underlined triangles can be assumed to represent the present conditioning influences available to a disciple within their various progressive stages of initiation. The most influential triangle constellation is Leo in respect to synthesizing the seven crises of the soul.  These various possible triangle combinations influences need to be discerned to validate their contribution to the ultimate perfection of the soul.

Each of the three triangles as does all other forms of beingness’s has embodies the life, quality, and appearance aspect on whatever level of activity.

I would also point out that I have (again necessarily) only depicted the three triangles in a certain order with the lower points expressing the energy of certain constellations. In this form they depict the final outcome and the final results of a particular group of three crises. It must be remembered that only through much repetition and frequent focused effort are these results attained. A crisis is brought about by a certain habit of mind, developed in the vehicle; it is surmounted in time only by a certain habit and rhythm of the spiritual content of the man’s nature. It is the establishing of a certain objective rhythm which produces a crisis; it is the emergence of a particular subjective rhythm which enables a man to surmount the crisis and to capitalize on the opportunity. Please bear this in mind.

These seven crises can also be related to the seven centers in the vital or etheric body, and advanced students will later find that there is a close cyclic interrelation between:

1. The seven planes of divine expression.
2. The seven states of resultant consciousness.
3. The seven crises, leading to the expansion of consciousness.
4. The seven initiations, climaxing these expansions.
5. The seven centers wherein these results are realized.

Is there any correlation of these seven to the seven principles being developed for perfection of expression by the ray lives?

I want point out that the order of the seven crises of the soul can be reversed and still be accurate as one order is from the point of view of the personality and the other from the monad especially in context to Agni or the heavenly Man Personality aspect of the cosmic Logos. Also, the ruling planets should be looked as ruling centers and/or principles.  The centers, principles, et.al., probably should be perceived as only in context to the second aspect or astral body or from the soul perspective.

These following three major triangles conditioning the present unfoldment goal of the fourth creative hierarchy are Cancer-Aries-Capricorn, Gemini-Scorpio-Virgo, and Capricorn-Virgo-Leo.  The Capricorn-Virgo-Leo triangle also is further progressed through its linking with the remaining constellations of Libra, Sagittarius, Taurus, Aquarius, and Pisces.  This further progression can be seen to produce three more significant sequential summation triangles of influences given by A.A.B. of Leo-Libra-Sagittarius and Taurus-Aquarius-Pisces, plus a culminating influence of a sixth triangle of Leo-Virgo-Pisces in respect to one of the inferred major goals of the Planetary Logos and a Human Unit or the blending of the three major influences of the three major aspects expressing through the three periodic vehicles.

Thus, one sees again a correlation to the six stages of change or integration of a new qualifying energy being demonstrated. The sixth major stage of change or integration is transition to a greater life in consciousness through the embodied influences of the Leo-Virgo-Pisces triangle. It represents the fruits developed in the Hall of Wisdom and permits entry or assimilation into the Hall of Life. Thus, it represents the transition into a greater life culmination in respect to a plane, a ray and a new expanded grouping.  This greater life is normally an expanded admixture of these three types of possible integrations. They thus are a synthesis of the earlier transmuted planes, groupings, and rays leading to transformations, transfigurations, and translations.

This through a new culminating expansion under the influences of Capricorn into the Unknown with new opportunities through new contacts represents a new alignment and potential Self-identity.  All new alignments lead to new cycles of planetary integration as reiterated many times. It is this new alignment to spirit in this case that permits the “stillness vision.”  Thus, the beginning of a new cycle of initiation can be understood to also coincide with a new cycle of planetary integration for the purposes of this heuristic analysis but in general true anyway. It is reasonable to acknowledge that a cycle of evolution or planetary integration or initiation are all reflective of the fact that they represent being descending to manifest (in stages) under the Law of those that chose to die whether a planetary Logos, a solar Logos, or a human Unit.

It is highlighted earlier that the seven crisis are passed through approximately three times from the standpoint of the major life cycle can also be understood as passed through exoterically, esoterically, and hierarchically.  This is so only if each of the earlier cycles were successful or not in altering one’s consciousness as these influences are progressive. This will make more sense as one contemplates these series of soul crisis taking place intimately in their life. Please keep in mind that each life all earlier gains and cycles are sequentially recapitulated within the maturational cycle in respect to capacities (thus petal, spirillae, chakra and sheath development) not specific gifts, talents, skills, or abilities.

Once an accepted disciple then the cycle of initiation influences from Leo-Virgo-Capricorn begins to have more of a conditioning influence bringing in the influences of Leo-Libra-Sagittarius and Taurus-Pisces-Aquarius upon the final stages of the way developed and demonstrated during the twelve final tests of the initiate. But it is all twelve constellations engender the aspirant’s liberation from the karmic wheel of incarnation into the ocean of matter.

You have, therefore, the 12 + 7 + 5, making 24 in all and in these are to be found the “24 episodes which mark the Cross of Life;” these seven crises correspond to the seven stations of the Cross which mark the way of an advancing world Savior.

In connection with the five constellations which are peculiarly active in the life of the advanced disciple and initiate, the influences fall into two triangles of force, because Leo—focusing the energy of the seven constellations—is included, thus linking the self-conscious aspect with the spirit: Leo, Libra, and Sagittarius; and Taurus, Aquarius, and Pisces.

Shirk not these crises, hard and difficult though they may appear to be. Difficult they are. Forget not that the habit of confronting crises is a long-established one within the consciousness of humanity. Man has the “habit of crisis,” if I may so call it. They are only the points of examination as to strength, purpose, purity and motive and the intent of the soul. They evoke confidence when surmounted and produce greatly expanded vision. They foster compassion and understanding, for the pain and inner conflict they have engendered is never forgotten, for they draw upon the resources of the heart. They release the light of wisdom within the field of knowledge and the world is thereby enriched. EA, pp.473-476

One of the first objectives is for the probationary disciple to harness the energies of the mutable cross and to begin blending them with those of the fixed cross. This will lead him to a cycle of initiation once accomplished. Thus, the cycle of evolution is correlated to the mutable cross and the cycle of aspiration is correlated to the fixed cross up to and including the third initiation. The cardinal cross is correlated to the cycle of initiation. Thus, the first seven constellation influences are more linked to these first two crosses and prepares the disciple for the twelve tests. The remaining five plus the three blending constellations of Leo, Virgo, and Capricorn relate the disciple to the cardinal cross in a very general sense.  Each of the influences have to be pragmatized by the disciple and initiate which is part of the twelve tests or their demonstrations or use in service.

The following correlations of the stages of integration are interesting in context with the seven crises of the soul set of six major related synthetic triangle influences:

Example: For an accepted disciple or probationary initiate in training for initiation in context to the Hierarchy:

1. Aires-Cancer-Capricorn: Alignment (Energy follows thought and the eye directs that energy)
2. Gemini-Scorpio-Virgo: Crisis (The Will is fundamentally an expression of the Law of Sacrifice)
3. Leo-Virgo-Capricorn: Light (The Monad is to the planetary Logos what the third eye is to man)

1. Leo-Libra-Sagittarius: Revelation (Purpose itself is but an energy, released within the confines of the Council Chamber; there it must take shape.)
2. Taurus-Pisces-Aquarius: Integration (When the light of the seven Rays is blended with the seventh Ray, then Light Supernal can be known.)
3. Leo-Virgo-Pisces: Transition to a greater Life (Transition from cyclic Living into Life itself)

These integration stages, as this discussion is predicating are also related to basically all other types of cycles related to consciousness expansion as we will continue to demonstrate. The reason being is that all of these processes are stages under the Science of Triangles.

Capricorn-Virgo-Leo triangle of energy and forces is flowing through Leo and the Sun veiling Neptune qualifying the secondary triangle of the substance aspect, which includes the consciousness of the subject. Thus, spirit-soul-personality can be understood to represent the secondary triangle with the distributing energy flowing through the soul body and the etheric body. The focus for this life appears to be the demonstration of Christ consciousness which basically involves in this chart Cancer-Capricorn, Leo-Aquarius, Virgo-Pisces, Aries-Libra, Taurus-Scorpio, and Gemini-Sagittarius or all six potentiates fused and expressed on some initial level as the three remaining triangles make their own further contributions.

Leo-Virgo-Capricorn brings an awareness of the higher initiatory field of contacts and relationship potentials. It corresponds to the Blending of the Lights discipleship phase. It opens one up to a new perspective and realization of the magnitude of the one Life interactions. It does not necessarily permit one to put these into a practical pathway of correct demonstration of the unit to the group to the planetary Logos which is better accomplished under the influences of Leo-Libra-Sagittarius.

IV.            Leo-Libra-Sagittarius – Revelation from the Larger Group Stage (Rules No. 4 & 11)

For Applicants:  Let the disciple tend the evocation of the fire, nourish the lesser lives and thus keep the wheel revolving.

For Disciples and Initiates:  Let the group see that all the eighteen fires die down and that the lesser lives return unto the reservoir of life.  This they must bring about through the evocation of the Will.  The lesser wheels must not for aye revolve in time and space.  Only the greater Wheel must onward move and turn.

Let the disciple transfer the fire from the lower triangle to the higher, and preserve that which is created through the fire of the midway point.

For Disciples and Initiates:  Let the group together move the fire within the Jewel in the Lotus into the Triad and let them find the Word which will carry out that task.  Let them destroy by their dynamic Will that which has been created at the midway point.  When the point of tension is reached by the brothers at the fourth great cycle of attainment, then will this work be done

These last (or first) three sub-stages of planetary integration so-to-speak are very much related to the initiates response to the esoteric planetary rulers it appears. The Sun veiling Neptune, the development of group feeling throughout the cosmic physical planes; Uranus, the access to the creative hierarchies focused in these planes; and the Earth, projecting one onto the path of higher initiations. These rulers unified produce the development of group consciousness and precipitate one onto the path of initiation under the law of destiny as the initiates plan is coordinated with the larger group plan becoming recognized. This process brings in more and more their hierarchical rulers: the Sun veiling Uranus organizing the higher mind and soul; Saturn providing opportunity to serve and Mars providing access to the influences of the pattern coming into the disciple’s head center from the One Ashram linked to the seven solar systems.

Revelation is the correct divine energy pattern manifesting through the group and the unit once they are correctly aligned and organized and expressing spiritual and divine attributions each according to their monadic destiny. This is accomplished ultimately or correctly by influences of Uranus and Jupiter. These attributions need to be first recognized and understood before they can be correctly embodied and demonstrating. These illuminated higher psychic or group conscious awareness’s related attributions are embodied and demonstrated under the influences of Taurus-Pisces-Aquarius.

These influences might be summarized as crisis of individuation of plan and purpose, correctly balanced between the mystic and the occult methods through a directed and controlled life expression. This would leads to an integration with the descending pattern or advancing point of light.  It is always about the correct demonstration of the divine life-pattern within the Mind of God. This combination of influences moves one into an awareness of their path of destiny as a monad-soul-personality. It is about being the director of an aspect of the One Plan for the Whole in some capacity. It is about correction qualitative direction and light blending. It can be understood as also representing the stage of continuous revelation through an effort to align one’s personality, soul and monadic will to the Will of God.  This stage in the integration process corresponds to the law of repulse. It prepares one for the fourth initiation through the development of the buddhic sheath.  Purpose is grasped for the first time in terms of qualified dynamic energy patterns or life patterns as these are reified through the throat center by the soul in contemplation. It unfolds the first aspect of the higher three and seven major centers creating fourth degree rotation. It leads one out of chaos to a greater sense of Beauty through right interpretations and relationships.

Mind of God (Uranus) transmitted through the Brain of God (Saturn)which organizes the activity of the Personality of Good on the lower five planes is one way of capturing meaningfully this process of revelation.

V.               Taurus-Pisces-Aquarius – Integration into the Larger Group Stage (Rules No. 5 &12)

For Applicants:  Let the applicant see to it that the Solar Angel dims the light of the lunar angels, remaining the sole luminary in the microcosmic sky.

For Disciples and Initiates:  In unison let the group perceive the Triad shining forth, dimming the light of the soul and blotting out the light of form.  The macrocosmic Whole is all there is.  Let the group perceive that Whole and then no longer use the thought “My soul and thine.” R&I, p.20

Let the disciple learn the use of the hand in service; let him seek the mark of the messenger in his feet, and let him learn to see with the eye that looks out from between the two.

Let the group serve as Aquarius indicates; let Mercury speed the group upon the upward Way and let Taurus bring illumination and the attainment of the vision; let the mark of the Saviour, as the group toils in Pisces, be seen above the aura of the group.

This is the stage where the fruits of group higher Psychic illumination or the vision held within the larger cosmic, systemic and planetary group mind consciousness is synthesized through wise-knowledge transmitted through the initiate now released from individual form identification in some field of service activity. It is the use of the One Eye of Revelation being developed and now using to transmit various energies and forces through the initiates field indicating some service activity. He is now integrating with the larger group’s four forms reflecting more closely the ideal four forms to express the divine pattern and his ability to do so is dependent upon the recreation of his own four forms to harmonize with the groups.

Interestingly, these same three energy influences which were released by Shamballa in 1975 and the year 2000 per my own understanding and represents the three major conditioning influences actively related by the Hierarchy.

This stage also leads the initiates from the individual to the Universal frameworks. It establishes all correct relationships now understood due to the capacity developed through the influences of Leo-Libra-Sagittarius leading to self-mastery or adeptship or correct activity. It is the stage of right direction of the dynamic life-pattern. The pattern evokes an inevitability and thus cooperation through wise-activity promulgated by the group mind. When the light of the seven Rays is blended with that of the seventh Ray, then light supernal can be known. Involves the atmic plane. Relates to the fifth and sixth initiations. Concerns the alta-major center. Extra-planetary light.

The three esoteric rulers or Jupiter, Vulcan and Pluto give rise to the flowing three influences transmitting the influences of Aquarius, Taurus, and Pisces coming through Shamballa influencing the Hierarchy:

The Hierarchy is, therefore, at this time, conditioned by three great constellations:

1. Aquarius—The Custodian of that “life more abundantly” of which the Christ spoke and which He can draw upon at this time in a new and dynamic manner in order to bring about the restoration needed. This energy is the “implementing force of universality.” It concerns the future.
2. Taurus—The Revealer of the vision, the “eye of the Gods,” the donor of illumination. It is that which concerns the present.
3. Pisces—The Inspiration of the World Saviour, and also the field of salvation. It is the field of force in which the two other forces must work. It has been produced by the past.

As these three constellations pour their energies into the great Ashram of Sanat Kumara, the Hierarchy, they are there concentrated and retained until released under “the swift design of Mercury” into the field of the human consciousness.  The effect of this release is to awaken the intuition (governed as you know by Mercury), and to enlighten advanced humanity.  It is through intuitive human beings that knowledge of the Plan is given to humanity and the work of restoration can be carried forward. R&I, pp.228-229

The three hierarchical rulers Moon veiling Uranus, Vulcan and Pluto bring in the influences of the first Creative Hierarchy or those universal elemental lives that make up all cosmic electrified substance imbued with Pure Spirit organized according to the WORD of the tenth Creative Hierarchy and patterned to salvage by or to express the Desire of the Cosmic Christ through this cosmic substance expressing the surmised goal of the twelfth or the first Creative Hierarchy.

VI.            Leo-Virgo-Pisces – Transition to a Greater Life Stage (Rules No. 6 &13)

For Applicants:  The purificatory fires burn dim and low when the third is sacrificed to the fourth.  Therefore let the disciple refrain from taking life and let him nourish that which is lowest with the produce of the second.

For Disciples and Initiates:  Let the group know that life is one and naught can ever take or touch that life.  Let the group know the vivid, flaming, drenching Life that floods the fourth when the fifth is known.  The fifth feeds on the fourth.  Let then the group—merged in the fifth—be nourished by the sixth and seventh and realise that all the lesser rules are rules in time and space and cannot hold the group.  It onward moves in life.

For Applicants:  Four things the disciple must learn and comprehend before he can be shown the inmost mystery:  first, the laws of that which radiates; the five meanings of magnetisation make the second; the third is transmutation or the secret lost of alchemy; and lastly, the first letter of the Word which has been imparted, or the hidden name egoic.

Let the group get ready to reveal the hidden mystery.  Let the group demonstrate the higher meaning of the lessons learnt, and these are four and yet are one.  Let the group understand the Law of Synthesis, of unity and fusion; let the threefold mode of working with that which is dynamic carry the group together towards the Higher Three where the Will of God holds sway; let Transfiguration follow Transformation, and may Transmutation disappear.  Let the O.M. be heard right at the center of the group, proclaiming God is All. 

Leo-Virgo-Pisces depicts the initiates daily process now where each day the initiate transitions from cyclic Living into Life itself through daily contemplation. This stage is correlated the law of expansive response. It daily reifies the raincloud of wise-knowable things in a service context related to the initiate and the initiates’ group form of service activity. It is knowing daily what is imminent in terms of karmic usefulness in terms of timing so thus he can cooperate.  This mastering of timing in the aiding of the energy patterns through revelation is extremely difficult and has been said to be the hardest of occult powers to master and we agree. The objective is the complete control of time-space consciousness dimensionally. It is only this that will demonstrate the final law of etheric union through spiritual impact aiding in the recreation of new forms and thus the dissipation of older forms by default.  This law works under the pattern of resurrection of spirit and as such negates the death process of spirit released from form death.

Leo-Virgo-Pisces in respect to one of the inferred major goals of the Planetary Logos and a Human Unit or the blending of the three major influences of the three major aspects expressing through the three periodic vehicles.

Thus, one sees again a correlation to the six stages of change or integration of a new qualifying energy being demonstrated. The sixth major stage of change or integration is transition to a greater life in consciousness through the embodied influences of the Leo-Virgo-Pisces triangle. It represents the fruits developed in the Hall of Wisdom and permits entry or assimilation into the Hall of Life. Thus, it represents the transition into a greater life culmination in respect to a plane, a ray and a new expanded grouping.  This greater life is normally an expanded admixture of these three types of possible integrations. They thus are a synthesis of the earlier transmuted planes, groupings, and rays leading to transformations, transfigurations and translations.

There is one triad of cosmic energy that is of supreme importance upon our planet and it is the united influence of its three constellations which will eventually bring about the initiation of the planetary Logos; this will warrant any future planetary expression of His life to be termed a “sacred planet.” At present our Earth is not regarded as a sacred planet. Later, when these three energies have produced adequate effect and the needed planetary changes have been produced, the term “sacred” will be deemed correct and appropriate. This statement of course means little to any student at this time. When, however, he is able factually to realise two things, the case will be different. These are:

First, that the threefold energies which lie back of the activity of the centre at Shamballa concern the planetary Logos; humanity is slowly becoming sensitive to that influence, but only in mass formation and not individually. Only theoretically can a disciple take note of this fact.

Second, these influences are playing upon that aspect of human life which we call the Monad; they will, therefore, have a steadily increasing effect upon the Path of Initiation.

These three constellations are Leo—Virgo—Pisces. They are spoken of esoterically as “the Producers of that which knows, the Informers of that which is awakened and the Constructors of the modes of fusing Wisdom. They produce a unity; They shatter that which They have produced only again to produce it in greater beauty and in wider fullness.” These words are clear. This triangle is, at this time, an inverted one with the Leo energies in the closest contact with our planetary life. The following triangle will show this more clearly.

These three are connected definitely and increasingly with the unfoldment of human consciousness in three main aspects. EA, pp.469-470

Interestingly, each of these sub-stage points within a stage of initiation are points of revelation which can be misunderstood as representing some culminating point of revelation and thus considered as an initiation, but they are sub-stages of the larger integration or initiation process. There are five or six sub-stage points of revelation and one can have all five or six points of revelation in one life yet not have the final culminating revelation due to astrological or group related timing.

Each of the five points of revelation indicates to the initiate: procedure, location and objective. Each is therefore susceptible of many and varied interpretations; these are dependent upon the initiatory status of the disciple. DINA II, p. 373

Since these points of revelations also symbolize major initiations many probationary disciples become confused.  Given this, and also that the various seven qualities related to the seven crises of the soul directly condition the stages and substages of the initiation stage it is also easy to confuse these influences with these various points of revelation qualities.  These seven crises of the soul seem to have more to do with the human soul’s developing identity with the spiritual soul in respect to achievement results. The demonstrating of the rules for initiation is the fundamental reason one processes through these inter-acting stages and culminations and these are linked to the stages of discipleship as will be discussed later.

The final summation rules completing the cycle of evolution are summarized in the rules below.

For Applicants:  Let the disciple turn his attention to the enunciating of those sounds which echo in the hall where the Master walks.  Let him not sound the lesser notes which awaken vibration within the halls of Maya.

For Disciples and Initiates:  Let the group life emit the Word of invocation and thus evoke response within those distant Ashrams where move the Chohans of the race of men.  They are no longer men as are the Masters but having passed beyond that lesser stage, have linked Themselves with the Great Council in the highest Secret Place.  Let the group sound a dual chord, reverberating in the halls where move the Masters but finding pause and prolongation within those radiant halls where move the Lights which carry out the Will of God.
