Ten Esoteric Cycles/Stages – Part VIII (60 Major Astrological/Cosmological Influences during the Tests of Hercules): Revised 02/28/2024

(HZ: Please note that this ten-part series is just a review of Alice A Bailey’s Esoteric Works in respect to this ten cycles and stages review with a few additions plus some experiential heuristic observations and as a rule does not contain reified source impressions received during meditation. The 60 astrological and cosmological influences below were reified during a soul communion.)

The goal was to associate and link each of these experiential major astrological or cosmological causes to a particular time and space set of events, to a progressed ascension point, to a particular Test of Hercules, to a Law of the Soul, to a rule for initiation, and to a particular initiation which is reasonable. The astrological and cosmological influences contacted by one or the other of the monad, soul, and/or personality sensitivity and this energy absorbed permitted the forward progression of form and consciousness unfoldment and progression on the path. Even though these time-space causative links were hypothetically made based upon my heuristic analysis I am not sure my delineations are necessarily accurate as I am still in process of investigating these contacts and impacts in general. This especially in respect to their progressive effects. Furthermore, I have not shared these ‘effects’ and/or correlations with the rules, laws, and initiations in this introduction as too much would be revealed and/or the difficulty in doing this. Nevertheless, students of the esoteric spiritual sciences would find it of value to make their own analysis and understandings of these types of influences and other subjective influences on their path progress.

I have chosen not to discuss these astrological and cosmic inter-related influences at this time but only denote the following 10-cosmic path related and 50-astrological related major influences absorbed and/or responded to this life which propelled me into the Unknown. Each of these permitted an inferred demonstration of new abilities and capacities.

***Please keep in mind that these denoted potential influences below all took place or became available from within the one training group and therefore any member of the grouping could have brought the influence in and made it more available for absorption. Again, all levels of initiation training happen simultaneously in the Now related initiatory field. Disciples respond to what they respond to whether or not they are initiates. Furthermore, a significant question would be: How does one know when any particular influence is responded to adequately or not? What are the changes apperceived with the not-self – such as dimensional sheaths or senses or attributes? How did it relate one to the service of the Plan?

All of the following sequential influences fell into brain awareness from the soul during the sixth cycle of Jupiter. These influences have been grouped according to the cycles of Jupiter below even though these inferred causes for expansion of consciousness were not registered at the time these influences impacted the three major periodic vehicles. In other words, it took time for this realization to descend to manifest.

The astrological and cosmological influences below represent major influences. During the first two cycles of Jupiter there were minor influences such as the influences of the house sign placements in the natal horoscope and the 15 degree cycle influences of Saturn and Jupiter as well as the exoteric planetary and their aspect influences which we all need to respond to based upon the nature of our karmic forms especially our moon and sun sign forces.

Third Cycle of Jupiter: Ages 24-36:

Sequential response to the following astrological influences:

First Minor Astrological Influence: (1975) Minor Hierarchical ruler of Leo (Sun veiling Uranus) and related influence of Taurus, Leo, Aquarius. This minor Hierarchical ruler of Leo (Sun veiling Uranus) appears to be related to below influence of Taurus, Leo, Aquarius energies released by Shamballa in 1975 to Humanity.

First Major (Path-1) conditioning energy was the Shamballa energy released into Humanity in 1975 and in 2000 energizing the Monadic Life (1^st Cosmic Path).

Second Minor Astrological Influence: Jupiter transiting my ninth house (Jupiter also in the ninth house) preventing escape from off of the path between lower and higher mind. Focus is the development of the higher mind. The secondary focus towards this goal is the blending and fusion of the influences of Gemini, Sagittarius, Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, with Virgo particularly. (Age 12 – March 1965; Age 24-Feb 1977; Age 35 – Jun 1988; Age 47 – May 25, 2000.

Third Minor Astrological Influence: Hierarchical ruler of Aquarius – the Moon veiling Uranus. (1987)

Fourth Minor: (1987-1999) Response to the rulership of the twelve esoteric planetary rulers of the twelve signs. Below is an inferred order of response to these esoteric rulers as they were blending with the exoteric rulers.

Just wanted to point out an interesting summarizing observation. Certain Creative Hierarchies are polarity paired during the progressive initiatory processes.

II. Some Theory Review

It should be noted here, however, that all the energies—zodiacal, systemic, and planetary—have a definite effect upon all the lives in all forms in all kingdoms of nature. Nothing can escape these radiatory and magnetic influences. The goal of evolution for humanity is to become consciously and livingly aware of the nature of these energies and begin to know them and to use them. This is the field of occultism as the Hierarchy has always told men. It might be stated that the disciple has to become consciously aware of the planetary influences and begin to use them for the carrying out of soul purpose. The initiate has to be aware of the zodiacal influences which emanate from outside of the solar system altogether. These can be recognized as

A vibration, registered in one or other of the seven centres.
A revelation of a particular type of light, conveying a specific colour to the initiate.
A peculiar note.
A directional sound. EA, pp.22-23

A Full Moon Meditation Example

Energy from mysterious place in heavens—unknown star system – this energy related to Humanity through an Egoic Grouping.

The head center appears to be the mechanism (on any dimension) to trace an energy back to its source.

Astrological Conditioning Forces and Energies – Astrological vs. Ray Influences:

It might be asked here: What are the differences between the influences which are ray influences and those which are of an astrological nature, such as the rising sign, or the governing planets?

The energies which astrologically affect a human being are those which play upon him as a result of the apparent progress of the sun through the heavens, either once every twenty-five thousand years or once every twelve months. Those that constitute the ray forces do not come from the twelve constellations of the zodiac, but emanate primarily from a world of being and of consciousness which lies behind our solar system, and which themselves come from the seven constellations which form the body of manifestation of the One About Whom Naught May Be Said. Our solar system is one of these seven constellations. This is the world of Deity Itself, and of it a man can know nothing until he has passed through the major initiations. When we come later to study the zodiac and its relation to the rays we shall work this out more carefully and so make the idea clearer. It is with the ray influences that we are dealing here, and not with the zodiacal. EPI, pp.332-333

Thus basically, astrological influences originate from those cosmic and systemic mental, astral, and etheric-physical plane sheaths of various existences which are functioning as vehicles for the Ray Lives on one plane or another. What manifests from sheaths are astrological influences due to ray influences on substance in general over time as they pass through cosmically, systemically, and planetarily considered in respect to macrocosmic Sheaths and Forms. In other words what we witness through our senses is the expression of a Ray life individualized by the characteristics of their sheaths such as type of devic substance built into them. Astrological entities (Ray embodied Lives) radiate different forces and these forces are indicators of their present natures. Certain astrological entities or sheaths over time reflect more and more of their innate Ray source to the appropriate set of senses associated with the dimensional sheath that is in energetic contact vibrational with another sheath.

The personality will still respond to influences coming to it from the physical Sun but the motivated life activity and the subjective experience of the inner man will be conditioned by energies coming to him from the “Heart of the Sun.” I would here recall to your minds the teaching of the Ageless Wisdom as given in The Secret Doctrine and elaborated by me in my later books that the Sun has to be discovered and known in its triple nature which is threefold as is the Trinity. The tabulation below may serve to make this idea somewhat clearer:

By the word “influencing” I here refer to the energies pouring from these three aspects of the Sun through the three Crosses to our planet. Ponder on this and remember also that our Sun is travelling through space (carrying our solar system along in its sphere of influence) around our own central and conditioning star which it has been rightly presumed exists in the constellation Taurus, the Bull, being found in the Pleiades. At the same time it appears, from the standpoint of our planet, to be passing through the twelve signs of the zodiac; this is a symbol macrocosmically considered, of the dramatic centralised point of view of the individual human being, the microcosm. It is interesting to compare the symbolism and the underlying truth connected with the lesser and the greater zodiacs and with their twelve month and their 25,000 year cycles. They bear out much that I have given you anent the soul, influenced by the esoteric planets eventually, and the personality, influenced by the orthodox planets. The greater zodiac is symbolic of the soul and the lesser of the personality. In the personality cycle, the lesser zodiac conditions the personality career and the twelve planetary houses are of dominant importance. Later the influence of the twelve signs supersedes the influence of the planets.I would like also to emphasise—perhaps unnecessarily—that Sirius, the Great Bear and the Pleiades work through the medium of the twelve constellations, pouring their influences through nine of them in particular, but that these major constellations are not part of the zodiac with which we are concerned. They, with the seven solar systems of which ours is one, are the ten constellations connected with a still greater zodiac which is not conditioned by the numerical significance of the number twelve. Hence ten is regarded as the number of perfection. There is confusion in the minds of some of the less learned students (astrologically considered) on this point. EA, pp.116-117.

The only way a disciple can really grasp the sequence and nature of astrological influences affecting him is to understand the sequential influence of the three-fold Sun or Ray Lives expressing themselves through the three crosses or macrocosmic sheaths and/or three-fold periodic vehicles. Our capacity and ability to fuse with these Suns beingness related influential energies and forces will determine our unfoldment potential. This will be discussed throughout this narrative in a variety of ways. The Suns should be considered in this regard as an expression of a Ray Life – with a monadic, egoic, and personality Ray conditioning potential based upon the zodiacal influences the Ray Life is conditioning per the constellations of the three crosses. As an example, the first Ray Life is absorbing and also expressing (through) the zodiacal influences of Aries, Leo, and Capricorn thus conditioning also His three periodic vehicles – monadic, egoic, and lunar. These three periodic vehicles need to be understood in their correct context which is that the three periodic vehicles are only represented by the three constellations. It is more correct to say these three constellations depict the Ray Life’s mental, astral and vital qualifying expression that the three periodic vehicles express through likewise over time as they are made capable.

The focus will necessarily be on the solar Logos’ physical body of expression and particularly the human units that compose the three-fold centre aspects of a Heavenly Man – monadic, egoic, and personality. Monads, as centres of force, can be correlated to the ten greater constellations or three major logoic aspects and seven logoic principles depending upon the monadic ray and monadic evolution. The Ego, or spiritual soul, as centres can be correlated to the 12 constellations or broken out into the three crosses depending on the Son of Mind’s point in evolution in respect to this second solar system. The Personality, as centres can be correlated to the 12 plus planets and these planets can be also correlated to the three personality sheaths (three Suns influence cosmically considered) – exoteric, esoteric and hierarchical as rulers of zodiacal sign forces depending on sheath polarization. The “Whole” always appears to reflect Itself in the part.

Until 1986 there was no noticeable adequate conscious absorption and demonstration of esoteric astrological influences or synchronous vibration to that which lies on the other side of the door since birth except those that appeared to be caused by the impact of Shamballa force impact on Humanity in 1975 per my understanding at that time. This was also due to the fact that I did not study astrology in any depth at that time also and more importantly I had not yet demonstrated the effects of the esoteric planetary rulers on my soul-personality expression which I only begun to demonstrate after Harmonic Convergence event in 1987 but this was due to the synchronous vibration to that which lies on the other side of the door. From 1986 forward, the awareness’s generated from various subjective astrological influences became more symbolic of certain types of sensitivity developments through the fruits of fusions over time. In other words, sensitivity is the first fruit of the esoteric ruling planets influences in some way that the disciple normally recognizes and this is due to transmutations effecting the centres.

In respect to astrological theory, I personally have determined that the sidereal chart version can be of more significant, and truth value, than the tropical version in depicting astrological ray related influences esoterically but the tropical version does present exoteric (from the personality perspective) correlations that does explain general conditionings and life processes likewise as these ray influences descend to manifest effecting the sheaths. The reason being is that the tropical natal chart represents the future of the individual which is descending to manifest if one was to progress the sun one degree per year. If you take the sidereal chart and progress, it eventually becomes more and more similar to the tropical although still different from point to point. Thus, if one appears to be expressing perfectly their sidereal chart pattern then they probably are being ruled by their personality after adulthood implying, they are not progressing with their chart possibilities.

In respect to the natal chart ascendant, I want to infer something which I believe is basically true and that the present system of progression used probably addresses the average western ego challenging themselves to keep up with ideas whose time has come in general. For the advance disciple speeding ahead, the ascendant progression formulas in use are probably a little too slow and for those average egos not challenging themselves it is too fast. I estimate that my own progressed ascendant is in the first few degrees of Scorpio, but my progressed chart says it is at six degrees Libra which is not the case but approximately thirty degrees further. The progressed Sun Sign using popular exoteric progression formula or one degree per year seems to be basically accurate around 14 degrees Virgo (in 2018). Planetary progression formulas are not normally separated out of sun progressions per my understanding.

I wonder at times if these progressions per the larger monadic ray group is due to the Great Illusion of Time as Being or the Heavenly Man (monadic groups) descends to manifest His Desires in form thus the higher cause’s takes time to manifest on the physical. Thus, Being and Time do not agree. The quote below does not explicitly address this but does indicate the relationship of rulerships to dimensions of existence of Being.

Astrologers would do well to remember that the influence of the constellations, signs and planets, work out upon three levels of awareness—three descending levels—and are felt first of all upon the mental plane, then upon the astral plane and finally upon the physical plane….. A horoscope which could be interpreted purely upon the mental plane is given a physical interpretation, and thus happenings which are entirely mental are portrayed as physical occurrences. A clue to this triple interpretation which astrology must eventually recognise can be found in the relation of the orthodox, the esoteric and the hierarchical planets and the rays of which they are the expression. EA, p.216

Within the Great Illusion of Being descending to manifest, my own life’s incarnational times and seasons is indicative of this knowledge applied by the (group) soul. As stated earlier, I was born right after the end of the war period the same year that initiates took the sixth Initiation and reached by second Jupiter return (ninth house Aries, Sidereal) right before the direct energy impact to Humanity from Shamballa took place in 1975 which ended a sub-cycle of initiation. I thus was prepared to take advantage of this impact given I was in my third maturational cycle (21-28) or higher mind (manasic) development. The next two subcycles of initiation began around the time of my next Jupiter return again after the ending of karmic cycles. The second subcycle of initiation started also right after the Harmonic Convergence in 1986. The fourth Jupiter return took place right before the second direct energy impact on Humanity from Shamballa (2000) which again I was prepared for due to my seventh maturational cycle (age 49) and also after the end of a third karmic cycle.

From the point of view of humanity, the passage of the Sun around the zodiac is apparently a slow and laborious process, taking approximately (on the plane of time) 25,000 years. From the angle of the inner vision, it is a sweep around the Path of Life, taking only a moment of time and “obliterating past, present and future in the radiant glory of the work accomplished.” EA, p.81

Also, one’s chart progressions and transits will correspond to these important points of crisis in some significant way such as the Jupiter returns to the ninth house for myself around every twelve years as this narrative will point out were always of great significance. Jupiter truly appears to reflect the path of the Sun or of Life as it travels around the zodiac every 25,000 years or so under the Great Illusion given that in each cycle Jupiter return truly appears to be “obliterating past, present and future in the radiant glory of the work accomplished.” In many ways Jupiter reflects the Sun – Plato makes Jupiter the Logos, the Word of the sun.” (III. 279.). In this sense it can be understood as to summarize one’s life purpose through the Word made Flesh over time.

One of the many goals of this narrative is to clarify the relationship between astrological influences and given Science of the Path theory per subjective experience.

Disciples would speed up their response to most astrological or occult influences if they did occult meditation on a regular basis as opposed to mystic types of meditations. As an example, it took from birth to age 49 to consciously or etherically respond to all of the exoteric ruler influences of the twelve constellations correctly and fuse these with their exoteric rulers. It took from age 38 to age 49 to correctly respond to esoteric ruler influences of these constellations and integrate these with the esoteric (and hierarchical rulers after age 49) of the twelve constellations. Until age 48 I was prone to more mystical type meditations, although I did use Rules No. 17, 18, and 19 as discussed in the book Light of the Soul by A.A.B. I switched to Rule No. 20 after that as now I had developed the chakras adequately by age 49 to use this form and within three years responded to all hierarchical ruling influences and many other influences as discussed herein. It takes time for astrological influences to descend to manifest through the mental and astral planes to impact the etheric and as such occult alignment and meditation significantly speeds up this process.

The response of humanity or of the individual man to the inner thought life and to the subjective consciousness is not immediate. It takes much time (especially in the early stages), for an idea to work through into the mind and from thence to the brain, conditioning the emotional nature in its progress and processes. Several lives may, therefore, be given to the registering of the effects of these energies upon the thought life and the response of the physical plane life once they are comprehended. It is for this reason that I have stated that the Science of the Triangles underlies the whole system of astrology and is only now in process of revelation. Bear in mind that the effect of these energies which we shall be considering and of their triple relationship will be in the realm of ideas and in the world of consciousness and its expansion, and will embrace, therefore, the sentient thought life of a solar Logos, of a planetary Logos, of humanity and of man. EA, pp.412-413

The above quote basically states that advanced Humanity and disciples have registered these astrological influences, and this is why now late in life I can also acknowledge them somewhat. It is extremely difficult to determine exactly when an influence was registered and its exact influence over time as its influences descends with us into newness of the present qualitative sensitivities. During this analysis the goal is to determine not so much when an influence was registered but the sequence of registering and their potential effects on substance and consciousness. Also, it is useful to understand which of the three Periodic Vehicles it was registered by initially and its basic influence characteristics. One can assume that some expansion of consciousness is taking place through registering of a new subjective contact and thus a set of possible new influences can be understood to produces some particular nature of new awareness’s with accompanying knowledge the disciple is now aware of. These new influences have the possibility of conditioning the personality thought life, emotions, and psychical plane activities. The hope herein is to clarify both the immediate spirit, soul, and personality impacts and it’s conditioning also over time in some minor way. Obviously, the personality impacts can be inferentially attributed given though I have daily meditation records of or results of using this form over a period of several years.

I want to emphasize that this heuristic analysis is being done late in life and by the personality mind and not from the group mind context even though the group mind makes periodic contribution to this analysis. I as a personality have struggled my whole life to understand esoteric astrology and basically until recently to no real useful avail. The next two quotes depict the vehicles of energy and force impacts associated to the three periodic vehicles.

The initiate has to be aware of the zodiacal influences which emanate from outside of the solar system altogether. These can be recognised as

A vibration, registered in one or other of the seven centres.
A revelation of a particular type of light, conveying a specific colour to the initiate.
A peculiar note.
A directional sound. EA, p.23

Actually, this should be one of the criteria one makes note of in their meditation journal but unless one is earlier interested in astrological influences and studies the source will probably not be named. Vibration in centres can be acknowledged in the moment but the source naming requires an occult paradigm. Among other virtues. These all came together once the link was made between spirit-soul-mind-brain after 2001.

The quote below if valuable as it generalizes one of three Sources associated to the major centres. In respect to myself this assist in clarifying potential originating sources likewise outside of using higher psychic senses. The Head-Ajna centres transmits what comes into the throat for group thought-form creation intents just as the Heart transmits to the solar plexus for group feeling related qualities, and the Head to the base for group life directional impulses. Direct knowledge, once the Antahkarana is completed through the Atmic field, will contain all three. We must remember to separate them out for analysis which is not done unless this type of analysis is a premeditative task. Remember Shamballa normally transmits through Hierarchy and Hierarchy through NGWS to Humanity. But as point out, Shamballa also at times transmits directly to Humanity.

Through the great triangle of Shamballa, the Hierarchy and Humanity, cosmic, zodiacal and systemic force is focussed and these three become, in their turn, a macrocosmic triangle of energies in relation to the individual human being upon the planet. You have, therefore, the following lines of transmission of force:

Shamballa Hierarchy Humanity

Head centre. Heart centre. Ajna centre.

Base of the spine. Solar plexus. Throat. EA, p. 428

The majority of my subjective focus began with the blended Heart-Throat and over time included the Ajna centre and later the Head and Base as the group Antahkarana was unfolded. But larger group events create other flows. It is interesting that the Throat centre takes on the characteristics of the Heart and the Heart the Throat. But any type of originating source can flow through these three Group Centres – cosmic, zodiacal, systemic, and planetary thus adds to confusion (see referenced section) given the greater includes the lessor.

The whole story of the zodiac can be picturesquely yet accurately summed up in the following statement: There are three books which the three types of human beings study and from which they learn:

The Book of Life—Initiates—the 12 constellations.
The Book of Wisdom—Disciples—the 12 planets.
The Book of Form or of Manifestation—Humanity—the 12 Creative Hierarchies.

On a more individual basis the above quote generalizes the capacity to receive from certain sources in general and has relevance to us for analysis purposes. My own heuristic analysis demonstrates the truth of this statement as I spent some time describing the Creative Hierarchies influence on myself but mostly in context of practical forms of service. I have not spent any time analyzing in any detail the exoteric planetary influences except in relations to the “second minor astrological influence” and those major elements in my natal chart of major significant influence. I did try to highlight the esoteric planetary influences as they blended with the exoteric rulers. Esoteric planetary rulers’ significant influences are more aligned to the constellation influences coming through them. I did point out the sequence of esoteric planetary rulers I responded to, and which were followed afterwards by the constellation influences once I reached increased soul status later in life. Thus, my own life astrological influences reflect this general statement as intended.

Creative Hierarchical influences are with us from birth (or the fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh creative Hierarchies) which represent the Monad, Ego, personality and/or sub-personalities, lunar lives, and elemental lives including psychological fragments as their integrative sub-components. We call the seventh creative hierarchy the lives of the sheaths or our instinctual atomic lives/elemental natures. The influences of the higher creative hierarchies such as the fourth, third, second and first we call our spiritual and divine influences coming from our group souls and/or influencing our souls which we call spirit. These are influenced by the Lives of the higher kingdoms which include the influences of the One Soul and the One Life Entities.

Speaking technically, perception and response or the activity of the perceiving, observing consciousness—carried on through the medium of the mechanism of response—is dependent upon the condition or “aliveness” of the centres or their quiescence. This is true of a man galvanised into activity through his seven centres, of a planetary Logos functioning through seven planetary centres, of a solar Logos functioning through still greater centres of vibratory reaction, or still greater Lives, functioning through an aggregate of solar systems. Upon this activity and its understanding depends the whole science of astrology; in this statement I give you a clue which may some day revolutionise the present approach to astrology. EA, p.425

The above statement defines one mode of influences under the eighth rule for group initiation that becomes available to the disciple initiate. In other words, the revelation of and accurate registering of astrological influences requires the basic owning of these first eight rules in general. The condition of centre aliveness is also contingent upon the unfoldment of the various egoic petals and permanent atom spirillae and thus being influenced either by the personality (first four spirillae), the soul (5^th and 6^th spirilla) or the monad (7^th Spirilla). Spirillae themselves can be understood to be unfolded by principles (psychical or focused ray influences upon some sheath’s permanent atom. This is discussed more in the next section and represents the basic focus of esoteric astrology.

Please remember that each centre is three-fold, and each centre also potentially absorbs cosmic, constellational, zodiacal, systemic, and planetary influences.

In summation, it might be said that:

The zodiacal signs affect primarily the man who lives below the diaphragm. This is the ordinary average man. These signs thus condition four of the centres:
The base of the spine.
The sacral centre.
The solar plexus centre.
The spleen.

This quote is more significant than first appears when we analogically associate these same centres to more inclusive entities such as the planetary Logos, the system Logos, and the local cosmic Logos. The lower four Rays also manifest through three constellations. This sort of gives us a relative position in the mental Egoic groups depicting Deity Physical Form Life although not so simple to correlate, but ray correlation is the correct way of approaching it.

Astrologically, the zodiacal signs (as opposed to energies) are conditioning forces or thought forms affecting substance conditioning, experience, and potential evolution or increased sensitivity of some type per some plane and sub-plane substance. Those that live below the diaphragm are identified with their substance or the four elements and this is why the zodiacal signs rules but in most case with advanced Man they live above and below to one percentage or another at different times in their lives. So, in one sense both the tropical and the sidereal charts can be correlated to this livingness as they represent the past, the present, and the future expression potentials or abilities once the capacity is identified with in time and space.

The inner group of solar systems, working in conjunction with the zodiacal signs, affect primarily those who live above the diaphragm. They, therefore, condition:

The heart centre.

The throat centre.

The ajna centre.

The head centre.

Three of the energies work through the head centre but only after the third initiation. EA, pp.23-24

The signs which fall therefore into the four categories of earth, water, fire and air, concern primarily the man who lives below the diaphragm, and who utilises the lower four centres:—the centre at the base of the spine, the sacral centre, the solar plexus and the spleen. The inner group of seven major or systemic energies produce their effect upon the man who is living above the diaphragm, and work through the seven representative centres in the head. Four of them focus through the throat centre, the heart centre, the ajna and head centres. Three are held latent in the region of the head centres (the thousand petalled lotus) and only enter into functioning activity after the third initiation. EA, p.439

This is shown by me to take place in two stages at a minimum. The first stage is the lower four systems become responded to by the spiritual soul correlated to the higher four centres and later the higher three systems correlated to the head centre. These responses provide a greatly expanded set of capacities that are basically unpredictable in that they will individually relate to one’s destiny as opposed to karma and relate directly to the development of divine gifts. These seven correlates to the seven head centers and these cannot be fully responded to until the Disciple responds to the esoteric planetary rulers and thus making sacred his own centres of response. I will move into a more complete analysis of these influences in those relative sections, but the conceptual field is vast. Keep in mind, that in respect to aspects, each centre is three-fold and likewise seven-fold and has many stages of unfoldment and expression. This centre development is correlated to differing Ray groupings of souls engaged in expressing the Heavenly Man over time.

Speaking with a wide generalisation, it might he said that the three major groups of forces affecting our planet are zodiacal, systemic and planetary in nature and—again generalising—it might also be said that:

Zodiacal energies pass through Shamballa and are related to the first Ray of Will or Power and affect the Monad.
Systemic energies pass through the Hierarchy and are related to the second Ray of Love- Wisdom or (as it is oft called in esoteric astrology) the Ray of Attractive Coherency and affect the soul.
Planetary forces impinge upon and pass through humanity and are related to the third Ray of Active Intelligence and affect the personality. EA, p.411

Basically, a wide generalization (given other theories of influences by D.K.) but yet permits one to better home in on which periodic vehicle responds to an influence but also can be misleading. The major reason being is that energies affecting us come through our centres from planetary centres vertically and horizontally. Or in other words always comes in through the planetary centres (kingdoms) or the centres represented by Humanity, Hierarchy, and Shamballa. Thus, those that come in through Humanity directly come through humanities regional centres. Do all energies coming into the Ajna centre come from Humanity (NGWS), or into the Heart centre from Hierarchy, or Head Centre from Shamballa? Basically, they do if you assume that the three Major Aspects or periodic vehicles of a Human Unit are members of these groups and conditioned by them. But it does not imply that the individual unit’s monad, ego, or Personality is responding to a particular influence zodiacal, systemic, or planetary even if in circulation. Never-the-less, it is useful to still assume that what comes into the head center and noticed was responded to and was influenced by its originating source zodiacally if head centre, the heart centre systemically, or the ajna centre from a planet. Influenced meaning that it was qualified in some way either through energy or force type, quality, organization, intent, or purpose of some description. Thus knowledge of the nature of zodiac, system, or planet entities is useful in denoting the source conditioning influence but its originating source is not well verified until the head centre(s) is developed along with an expanded causative paradigm.

Transmission. Reception. Absorption. Relation and Living Activity. The method is one of Invocation and Evocation. In these two sentences, you have one of the most important clues to the whole evolutionary process; the key to the mystery of time and space, and the solution of all problems. EA, pp. 595-596

The conscious application of the above practical quote is truly the cause for our own life successes in all ways. It is the reason we develop a field of service and make all necessary contacts and fusions to progress in my service and understanding. The above quote captures obviously the process and sequence of being influenced by any astrological entity. So, the question becomes what new relations are created through new contacts on what level of that which produces this new livingness and what type or nature? We must try to address this to comprehend the nature of the causative pattern and its intended purpose, if any for us, or some larger group purpose. It is the essential key to the mastery of the Supreme Science of Contact.

In every triplicity there are three major qualities manifesting or three basic energies seeking expression and influence. As he manifests in time and space, man discovers this to be true and to constitute a law in nature, and it might be said that the task of the disciple is to become consciously aware—like a detached onlooking Observer—of these energies and their expressing qualities as they function within himself. This he does upon the Path of Probation, the Path of Discipleship and the Path of Initiation. He has to become aware of:

The threefold energy which is the personality, and of which the vital body is the synthetic expression.
The threefold soul of which the egoic lotus is the expression.
The triple monad of which a great diffusion in time and space in three streams of creative energy is the expression.

The probationary disciple needs to become receptive and aware of the transmission of energies and forces of the planetary rulers – exoterically, esoterically, and hierarchically within his vital body to affect an absorption and change in consciousness through relating in time and space and producing an eventual change in substance evolution through living activity – thus Transmission. Reception. Absorption. Relation and Living Activity.

The disciple eventually becomes aware of the seven solar systems influence and the twelve constellation influences carried by the system Rays within the egoic lotus to effect a change in consciousness slowly over time basically through invocation and evocation and the Law of Affinity between planets, constellations and rays; and all of this through the unfoldment of his centres.

The initiate eventually becomes aware of the three major solar system influences, the other constellation influences of which there are many and incorporate them within his creative dharmic or destiny expression to effect a change in destiny contribution to evolution through this occult process of contact-tension-fusion between the inner substance and the outer substance. This process described above also permits the Rule of Supplementary Seven to demonstrate. .

This last definition (HZ: per last quote) is somewhat meaningless to the uninitiate but must suffice. There is a manifesting aspect in all these triplicities which is the result of, and conditioned by, the interplay of the three forces. It is their full expression and the result of their successful activity.

In the personality, it is the physical body.
In the soul, it is the unfolded central bud within the egoic lotus.
In the monad, it is the “sound which geometrically forces itself into the vision of the beholder”—a deeply esoteric mode of symbolising that which cannot be expressed or reduced to the tangibility of form. EA, p.414

This three-fold major vehicle aspect manifestation process clarifies the actual result of a successful contact and eventual fusion of qualified force and energy results that needs to be apperceived and later perceived in brain awareness for comprehension to solidify. The type of source will be determined by these three types of expressions that is noted in the disciple’s awareness and qualities physically, astrally, and mentally in contemplation. The clarifications of the astrological influences impacting my subjective vehicles in some sequential meaningful way has been the most difficult of objectives and without the available Science of the Path and Esoteric Astrology theory provided by Master D.K. it would have been basically impossible given my status. The easiest effects to analyze are those affecting the centres of the vital body although the effects on egoic petal unfoldment and triadal vehicle expression was also observable through the soul’s contemplations. I choose not to go into detail at this juncture on the theory behind occult impressions but will in chapter two.

Master D.K. does not discuss the processes or effects of diffusion in his works except in this one very significant paragraph below and the nature of this diffusion energy is given in the paragraph above or the threefold god-head (Mahadeva, Vishnu, and Brahma) It is expressed through diffusion from the threefold Divine Will or Monad (Will to Condition Life, Will to Fulfilment, and Will to Conquer Death) upon any level zodiacal, systemic or planetary as three stream of creative energy. Thus, triadal expressions of the monad are the effect of this diffusion of the three-fold godhead which is discussed in Chapter Four.

In astrology, we are dealing all the time with the energies which produce movement and subjective and outer activity; we are concerned with the impact of many forces upon the human, the planetary and the systemic expression of life and purpose, and with the resultant effects. When these effects and activities are purely objective (and under that word I place all events and happenings going on in the three worlds of human experience—the physical, astral and mental planes) you have personality demonstration. When they are consciously related to the world of causes and are the result of “right and conscious direction” of the emanating centre, the soul, then the personality forces become subject to the diffusion of the soul energies and the personality or form nature becomes magnetic in a different manner, and so attracts to itself energies of a higher and more dynamic plane to the ones with which the man has been concerned hitherto and which he has learned to control and use; in other cases, the soul energies intensify certain of the personality forces and the effect of the exoteric planets is supplemented by an increasingly steady inflow of the energies of the esoteric planets, and these begin to have a dominantly esoteric effect. EA, pp.140-141

I want to point out that from the personality point of view the success one has spiritually in moving into the Worlds of Meaning and Significances and later the World of Causes is due to the diffusion of the energies from the three-fold godhead or from the monad producing in the early stages and these effects produce intensified soul energies which intensifies personality forces and thus the effect is the fusion of the exoteric planetary forces and the esoteric planetary energies also influencing the subjective awareness’s. This is the reason why the disciple first must master the forces of the exoteric planets followed by the energies of the esoteric planets through blending and fusing these to invoke the recognition and usability of the constellational energies. I pointed this out above when I said it took the first 49 years to accomplish the blending and fusing of the exoteric and esoteric planetary influences before I was able to attract these higher more dynamic energies Master DK. is referring to above through diffusion process. In fact, I was not able to be fully successful in occult mediation until these planetary fusions were completed, which was in the year 2000.

Later, once the disciple is capable of occult meditation and has moved into the World of Causes these same diffusing energies are now being consciously channeled correctly and along a specific creative intent thus producing a specific type of magnetization of their substance giving the initiate the ability to contact energies (and forms) and create relationship with specific higher dynamic esoteric Life sources or Entities of supply to carry out this intent. The first eventually gives the potential for the latter.

Therefore the entire cosmic web and solar system is an intricate, constantly moving, interwoven series of triangles wherein each point of a triangle emanates three lines or streams of energy (nine in all); it is likewise responsive to and receptive of the energies—likewise triple in nature—which lie within its periphery or sphere of influence and vibratory activity. EA, p.417

In general, one can always assume that there are a minimum of nine basic categories of conditioning forces or energies associated with zodiacal, systemic, and planetary influences as I inferred above that one needs to become aware of at a minimum. Monadically, I have inferred that the only influences impacting the monadic vehicle were those influences coming in along the cosmic paths transmitted through Shamballa. In other words, Shamballa transmits those influences coming from or through the various Logoi basically. Likewise, the Hierarchy transmits those influences coming from systemic (through Heavenly Men) influences; and Humanity the various Kingdom influences. Overall, each of these influences produced an eventual change in consciousness (or will in the future) and thus altered my potential for conditioning of activities over time if successfully integration and fused substance wise. The Law of Affinity is the active law in a disciple responding and fusing the various astrological influences and this is particularly so given their ray make-up and pre-fused substance condition. This is why each of our Periodic Vehicles requires the conditioning of all seven (sub) rays over time. Each of us requires experience on all seven of the monadic sub-rays, Egoic sub-rays, and Personality experience on all the rays many times to carry out the original creative purpose for our existence as a three-fold periodic vehicle.

…that the main function of the planets is to be distributing agents for the energies emanating from the zodiac as they converge within our solar system and become attracted to our planet. … that the basis of the astrological sciences is the emanation, transmission and reception of energies and their transmutation into forces by the receiving entity. The energies of the various signs are attracted by the different planets according to their stage of development and by what is esoterically called “ancient relationship” between the informing entities of the planets and of the constellations. This relation exists between beings and is founded on a Law of Affinity. It is this law of affinity which produces the magnetic pull and the dynamic response between constellations and planets within the solar system and between some particular planet and the forms of life upon another planet and the “impending energies,” as they are called, which are being received from some major source. The capacity to receive and profit by the planetary energies (themselves received as emanated from some constellation) is dependent upon the point in evolution which determines the receptivity and the responsiveness of the mechanism of reception. … The planets, the energies and forces have existed all the time but have remained ineffective and consequently undiscovered owing to the non-existence of the needed instruments of response. They will, therefore, have no effect upon the life and history of an individual and only become potent and “magnetically informing” when a man has reached a certain point of development and is becoming sensitive to higher influences and is in preparation for the treading of the path.

The Law of Affinity, highlighted above, is of great value in understanding how astrology works within the evolutionary process depicted by the planetary placements in the natal chart. In fact it is the cause of the evolutionary process. The above quote is again indicative of the value of astrological cycle influences in respect to place, time, form and QUALITY. It is easy to see how the above theory dovetails the earlier Light of the Soul sutras or theory summarizing the complete field of Astrological Influences as requoted below.

The astrological significance is also hinted at here in the three words, “place, time, and number.” In these words the universal triplicities must be recognized, and right control of the life currents must be seen to be related to karma, opportunity and form; there are certain words which when rightly understood give the key to all practical occultism and make the yogi a master of life. They are:

Sound Number Colour Form

Word Life Light Body

and these are recognized as subject to the space-idea and the time-element. It should be borne in mind, in this connection, that “space is the first entity” (Secret Doctrine I. 583) and that cyclic manifestation is the law of life.

When this is recognized, the entity, expressing itself cyclically, will make its presence felt through differentiation, through the colour or quality of the veiling form and through the form itself. These factors make up the sum total of the expression of any identity, God or man, and the appearance of any man in exoteric expression on the physical plane is dependent upon the rhythmic or cyclic outgoing or indrawing energy of the great Life in whom he lives and moves and has his being. This is the basis of the science of astrology or the relationship of the planet, or planets to the human being and of their relation to the stars and the various signs of the zodiac.

Some knowledge of this is essential to the right control of the life currents, so that the disciple can avail himself of the “times and seasons” wherein progress can be expedited. LoS, Book II, pp.224-225

The astrology influences’ section is not intended to be a textbook on esoteric astrology but only an introduction to various theories which can be used for a heuristic analysis. Within this set of esoteric astrologically related influences and theories might be found the necessary related and inferential causes that are responsible for my own individual unfoldment of sensitivity, illumination, and inspirational patterns this life in some logical causative order. To my knowledge this sequential inference of esoteric and occult astrological forces and energies upon one’s unfoldment as a soul has never been shared publicly by another to my knowledge or even possible before this century. Furthermore, given the degree of unfoldment of this life this analysis can cover more possible influences than normally would be expected normally. The influences I have apperceived are cosmic, systemic, and planetary which are related to all three Periodic Vehicles.

Upon the reversed wheel, through the medium of the planetary rulers (orthodox and esoteric unitedly active), the man upon the path finds himself responsive to a very wide number of energies, coming to him from many angles and directions, and hence the difficulties of the man upon the Path of Discipleship. When he becomes an initiate, this range of vibrations is rapidly increased and he becomes receptive to those energies which we have tabulated under the term hierarchical and which have reference to the twelve Creative Hierarchies. The forces of these Hierarchies (neither planetary nor systemic), then sweep into and through the initiate and awaken those major group responses which eventually give him systemic consciousness and make him a world server in Aquarius and a world saviour in Pisces…..The initiate is responsive to planetary, systemic and certain cosmic influences and becomes—if I might so express it—a lens through which “the many lights which are energy itself” can stream and thus be focussed upon our planet. To these energies, the initiate tunes his consciousness and thus becomes a planetary server. EA, pp.266-269

I introduce herein my own sequence of sixty (10 + 50) esoteric and occult astrological related influences herein which I responded to as a monad and/or soul and/or as a personality to one degree or another. Most of these influences were covered by Master D.K. in the book Esoteric Astrology and a few were indirectly introduced in Treatise on Cosmic Fire. The ten (10) influences were related to influences specifically related to the various cosmic paths. The sequence represents my best analysis of the sequential process of fusing of new influences into my existing consciousness and form sensitivity and effecting some change in awareness and or inclusiveness.

A most convincing way yet one way to organize these esoteric influences within theoretical bounds, as witnessed by myself, is to organize them according to a cycle of integration (alignment, crisis, light, revelation, integration, and transition to a greater life) but in the context of a larger Cycle of Planetary Integration or a particular initiation. Interestingly, a cycle of integration stages can be correlated to the five or six points of revelation under the Law of Destiny:

These points of revelation assume three stages of recognition:

The stage of Penetration.

The stage of Polarisation.

The stage of Precipitation. DINA II, p. 268

One becomes aware of new fields of penetration due to the dynamic nature of polarization (Will) effects upon him but more obvious is the precipitation of new energies and awareness’s he must now define through his apperception and discernment of these he has polarized with. Each point of revelation represents a point of penetration, polarization, and precipitation.

There are paralleling inner causes which are responsible for the outer stages of Penetration, Polarisation and Precipitation. These are:

The stage of the “advancing point of light.”
The stage of right direction or the focussing of the “advancing” potency.
The stage of spiritual impact. DINA II, pp.321-322

This is only logical given we are subjective beings working as monads and souls within the periphery of Shamballa, Hierarchy and Humanity and initiate manifestation of an idea whose come through new subjective contacts and relationships. This dual process of alignment is going on all the time but is outside of the disciple’s fields of reference for quite some time due to him not being identified with the Heavenly Man.

Curiously enough, in these three you have—symbolically and factually given you—expression of the three exoteric stages:

Penetration, the descending and circulatory nature of energy.
Polarisation, the effect upon this energy of the polarised will.
Precipitation, through the focussed intent and the directed impulse of the Monad. DINA II, p.323

The importance of these following points of revelation is that they determine the speed of the particular planetary integration one is undergoing as well as one’s type of service. I have tried to break these out for each new cycle of integration to better identify the possible revelation associated to each, but this is extremely difficult as so many revelations come forth with each penetration theme into the unknown. It is difficult to make any type of succinct summation such as Master D.K. has done.

Another reason I mention them here is that each point of revelation symbolizes some astrological influence point of success in terms of increasing sensitivity, illumination, and inspiration capacity. If we were able to first discriminate these influences, we could then discern a set of causative variables to form hypotheses.

Alignment to an aspect of the Planetary Logos: (through soul fusion gives group feeling)

Energy follows thought and the eye directs the energy.

Involves the physical plane.

Relates to the first initiation.

Concerns the ajna centre and the so-called third eye.

Crisis relating the Sacrificial will to the Will of the Planetary Logos: (through sacrifice)

The will is an expression of the Law of Sacrifice.

Involves the astral plane.

Relates to the second initiation.

Concerns the heart centre, the “advancing point of Light.”

Light received from the Planetary Logos: (through illumination)

The Monad is to the planetary Logos what the third eye is to man.

Involves the mental plane.

Relates to the third initiation.

Concerns the head centre, the light of Purpose.

Revelation of Purpose for the Planetary Logos: (through intuition)

Purpose itself is only an energy, released within the confines of the Council Chamber. There it must take shape.

Involves the buddhic or intuitional plane.

Relates to the fourth initiation.

Concerns the throat centre. Light upon the Path.

Integration into ones field the Purpose of the Planetary Logos: (through identification)

When the light of the seven Rays is blended with that of the seventh Ray, then light supernal can be known.

Involves the atmic plane.

Relates to the fifth and sixth initiations.

Concerns the alta major centre. Extra-planetary light. DINA II, pp. 369-370

Transition to a Greater Life:

The following quote is significant as it details in general the impact sources available to make an impact on the Monad itself which includes all possible astrological influences and Ray Lives. Basically, a declaration of lives within Lives acting as impulses leading up to activity of some type conditioning the inner and outer environments. In fact, all Lives which compose the creative hierarchies need to be considered. Master D.K. provides the basic influences affecting the Periodic Vehicles as quoted below for reflection. They are significant for understanding possible sources per astrological influences affecting one’s evolutionary potential. It is useful to try to discriminate and discern vibrations impacts but again it is only once the head centre is being developed it is possible to verify these source impacts in terms of direction in multidimensional space.

We will now sum up briefly the various vibratory impulses which have a definite effect upon the Monad, and which must be borne in mind as we consider the evolution of the Divine Pilgrim. It is not the purpose of this Treatise to enlarge upon each distinctive impulse. It but seeks to indicate, leaving to later individual students the expansion of the imparted ideas.

Three impulses inherent in the three periodical vehicles, as H. P. B. terms the three main centres of energy through which the Monad manifests:
The energy of the monadic ring-pass-not, viewing it as a unit.
The energy of the causal body, within the monadic periphery.
The energy of the physical body, the synthesis upon the physical plane of the force pouring through into manifestation through the three permanent atoms.
The activity set up in the seven etheric centres of force, the result of the activity of the seven principles:
The head centre—esoteric seven with an exoteric three.
The throat centre.
The heart centre—an esoteric three and exoteric seven.
The solar plexus—an esoteric three and exoteric four.
The organs of generation—an esoteric two.
The base of the spine—an esoteric unity.
The inherent activity of every atom in every sheath, which produces the rhythm of the sheath.
The unified activity of every sheath or form which the divine Pilgrim uses.
The united active motion produced by the unification of the three vehicles, the seven sheaths, the force centres, and the atomic substance.
The effect produced by the action of the groups karmically allied with the Pilgrim. They are:
His Ray vibration, his monadic group.
His subray vibration, or the vibration of the egoic group.
His personality affiliations, such as his family, racial, and national energy. All of these play upon the sensitive atoms in the various bodies and produce specific effects.
The activity or motion initiated and stimulated by the life of any of the three lower kingdoms in nature,—all of which produce definite results.
The vibration of the particular planet upon which the monad may be seeking expression and experience.
The effect produced in the substance of the sheaths by the influences, or vibrations, of the various planets. This, esoterically understood, is the influence of some one or other of the solar centres, as the forces emanating from them play upon the planetary centres and thereby affect the involved monadic units. This is hidden in the karma of the Heavenly Man, and when true esoteric astrology comes into being then more anent this will be given out. Astrology as now studied and taught misleads more than it helps, and astrological students are as yet learning but the a-b-c of this stupendous subject, and are occupied with the exoteric fringes of that great veil which has been wisely thrown over all planetary lore.
Another form of energy which must ever be considered is that of the planetary Logos, as He pours His force through some one chain or some one globe upon the groups of evolving human units. This—from the human standpoint—cannot as yet be calculated, as it is dependent upon the occult “turning of the attention” by the planetary Logos in meditation upon any centre in His body corporate. It is, of course, all under cosmic law, but beyond the realisation of man. It involves cognisance of the planetary individual purpose, which is not revealed until the later initiations.
The inherent energy of the solar atom itself has likewise a rhythmic effect upon the individual Monad, and though it only reaches the monad via the greater centres of Existence yet it has its effect upon one and all. This is another factor not sufficiently recognised.
Finally, the energy of the greater life (in which our solar system but forms a part) has to be reckoned with, and the impulses emanating from the cosmic Logos, the ONE ABOUT WHOM NAUGHT MAY BE SAID reach the monadic lives and produce stimulation or retardation according to the nature of the cosmic ideation. These are necessarily entirely outside the ken of average man and are only touched upon as no tabulation would be complete without them.
There is also to be borne in mind the play of energy which emanates from any one of those “Twelve signs of the Zodiac” with which astrology concerns itself. This type of force is primarily concerned with planetary stimulation, with the planetary Logoi, and is hidden in Their cyclic karma,—a karma which of course will incidentally involve those monads and devas which form Their bodies and centres.
We must not ignore the three great waves of energy which sweep cyclically through the entire solar system from:
The seven stars of the Great Bear. The strength of these vibrations depends upon the closeness of the connection and the accuracy of the alignment between any particular Heavenly Man and His Prototype. The mystery here is profound; it is connected with the stage in evolution of the “imperfect gods” and the objective of the planetary deities.
The Seven Sisters, or the Pleiades, and from that one in particular who is occultly termed “the wife” of the planetary Logos whose scheme will eventually receive the seeds of life from our planet, which is not considered a sacred planet, as has before been stated.
